Those same people crapping on GGG were screaming at him for being a coward for not fighting Ward here and now, ignoring the fact that Ward barely came back and had his first bout at 172. I don't care if he was talking about fighting JCC jr., Froch, or Mayweather Jr. None of those fights ever happened. Do I give Bradley **** for calling out GGG when he obviously would never fight him? No. Boxers talk **** and say **** all the time (or their promotion team does anyways). Those people hating on GGG for things like that, things other people say, they're just trying to find an excuse to vilify Golovkin because they have something against him (whether due to race, or whatever).Well, where were you when GGG's fans were doing that? Why didn't you criticize them when they were playing this game with Andre Ward?
I think that's the whole point. Certain posters excuse anything Golovkin does and keep shifting their standards to accommodate his actions. While giving other boxers crap constantly when they do the same thing.
Golovkin had a title fight with Lemieux setup, and potentially had a chance at the winner of Canelo/Cotto. It makes no sense to move up and fight Ward who had his opening fight back at a division weight limit of 172, a guy who had been out of the limelight for too long. Boxing fans need to be realistic, that's a fight that hasn't even saturated in the public. The PPV buys for a fight like that would probably be at MOST 300,000.
Again, a Golovkin vs Ward fight shouldn't even be talked about until early 2017. Canelo in May 2016, Lee/Saunders winner in the fall (Saunders would definitely fight GGG, if Golovkin beats Canelo), and the move up to 168 early 2017. That also gives time for Ward to take some heads and get the hype rolling.Comment

Read what i just wrote: it does not matter. I didnt phrase it righr.
Whether there has been 0 or 100 means **** to Canelo when he asks GGG to lose a few.Comment

I am a fan of fighters from all different races. Check my post history if you need proof.
But since you brought it up let's be real. Andre Ward doesn't have the right skin color for some of the posters here, that's why we have all these double standards becoming quite evident now.Comment

I asked already, but no one answered. Isn't he the mandatory, why would he have to negotiate? Isn't that something reserved for voluntary defenses?Youre not still not getting what I am saying. It doesnt matter. I was not arguing from precedent, but meant that ****ty boxing politics can make anything happen. There is no principle to this.
We just saw Cotto and canelo fight for the MW title at 155. That just happened.
When GGG negotiates, lets see how much weight your question carries. Zero.
The bottom line is that if GGG wants it, he must chase. Thats it. Its on himComment

Youre not reading.
I said that I didnt phrase it right. That kind of CW doesnt happen often. You are right. I was wrong to put it like that. My response is that it does not matter if it has happened once or 100 times. That argument means **** to boxing politics.
You just saw cotto and canelo agree to one.Comment
