he doesn't need to move, he can comfortably make the middleweight limit. canelo on the other hand had to invent a new division because he's too big for super welter and too afraid to face golovkin at middleweight. if golovkin couldn't make 160 and was hiding out at 162 or something to avoid facing ward, then you'd have a point. oh and if he happened to own a super middleweight belt but wouldn't allow his potential opponents to weigh in at the super middleweight limit. i mean c'mon, it's a totally unacceptable situation

There are no ethics to this. CWs are tricky. But it is what it is. Every a side has acted like a diva, GGG is not about to get spared because he has twitter warriors behind him.

Why a catchweight if you are the middleweight champion? Don't stoop down to puerto rican levels of stanning. Mexicans are better than that bs. We want to see someone fight at their absolute best. The way i see it is a simple case of the middleweight class between anywhere above 154 to 160.

You find your most comfortable weight within those limits and your opponent does too but you don't lower the limit. It makes a mockery of the sport, the belt, the history.

Plenty of fighters come in below the limit week in, week out and there's no issue. So why not just have the fight at the 160 limit, then Canelo can come in where he feels most healthy...the way people have done all throughout history.

Canelo you just won the prestigious middleweight title of the world and you are big enough he carry the weight so please defend it as the title that it is. All this catch weight horse5hit is going to end up creating even more divisions for an already over populated cesspool.

No surprise. I hope we see Canelo/GGG next May but this fight only happens on Canelo's terms.
Canelo said he could make 150 years before the Mayweather fight and it got used against him. GGG said he would go down to 154 for Jr. and Canelo will say if you can do that for him you can do 155 for ginger stick man.

Its not even close to the same situation though, Canelo is a middleweight Champion and Golovkin is his mandatory not a voluntary defense, he cant say 155 lbs or no fight unless hes prepared to drop the belt.

As far as Mayweather goes, everybody wants to be the one to knock him off so they are willing to make sacrifices to get the fight, Maybe Golovkin is willing to take the chance of draining himself for Mayweather to get that shot but hes Canelos mandatory so he has no reason to sacrifice anything for Canelo no matter what anybody thinks.

Im surprised to see so many fans jump on board with this A side/B side nonsense, its all fake fan boy stuff. When was the last time the lineal middleweight title was fought for at the actual middleweight limit? How can fans of boxing defend that like its the way things should be? Is it because they think one fighter is more popular than the other or they just hate one of the fighters so much they will go against their own common sense to bash him? Don't be naive. Canelo is not comfortable at 155 at all. The whole point of this is to drain GGG, hoping he will be even more uncomfortable. It has nothing to do with a sport of boxing.
