Agreed. Everyone was pissing on Cotto for having a 160 belt when he said he didn't want to fight at 160. So, he does the sensible thing and relents the belt, now everyone is bytching about that too. If people would stop playing favorites, a little honesty would come to the surface.

That's because with Cotto, it's "damned if you do... damned if you don't". Good thing Cotto has class. If it was me in there, and I beat Canelo.... I'd publicly tell all my haters to kiss my rich a$$.

That was not what he purported to all other parties involved when he agreed (not sure if just verbally or he signed an official document) to pay GGG "step-aside" money so he could fight Canelo.....WITH HIS TITLE ON THE LINE.
Perhaps, if he had made his intentions known to WBC at least, then they could have possibly settled on a much lower rate for the sanctioning fees or something.

I'm sure that if GGG knew that he was going to vacate the title, he would not have agreed to get out of the way. The way The Diva handled this whole thing misleading, Canelo, the WBC and GGG was downright unprofessional and petty. I've seen some people saying he was being a smart businessman or that he can do whatever he wants because of what he has done in his career. I don't agree with any of that. I think that he is a coward and a greedy egomaniac. Sure, he gained all the leverage during negotiations after he lured him in but he has ruined many business relationships by doing this. Roc Nation can't work with PBC, Cotto can't work with Arum (TR), and now Golden Boy will never touch him again because of this. He has ripped off GGG and blatantly lied to he and his team just to get the Canelo bout so he could run away after a potential win.

Canelo is going to punish him in the ring and then he will get punished in court. Can't wait until tomorrow night because it will be a great fight no doubt but I'm really eager to see Cotto humbled in front of millions.
