Golden Boy Promotions has been on the short-end of the stick in recent high-profile fights. Lucas Matthysse was shockingly halted by Victor Postol in ten rounds on October 3rd. Two weeks later, David Lemieux was stopped in seven by Gennady Golovkin. This weekend Golden Boy's highest profile client, Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez takes on Miguel Cotto at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. [Click Here To Read More]

    It's over, Oscar! lol

Funny he talks about how bright the company's future is and how he has all these past, current champs in addition tothe biggest star in the sport, but he sues all haymon for not letting the fighters he has be promoted by Golden Boy. He complains how his fighters can't be on PBC shows on the various networks, yet haymon is shut out of HBO, the biggest network for boxing? Lol. This dude is a joke. This ppv is selling like crap and he needs canelo to win to save his company. His two other stars hsve been ko'd in the last 60 days. Lol its over, fishnets.

I don't see anything wrong with his comments. They're going to have future champions and Golden Boy is going be smarter with their contracts and fighters. I look at the comments and people just comment negative things no matter what

Oscar needs to get out of bed with bob. What happened to sadam ali vs tim bradley?? Every move that golden boy makes has to be approved by top rank. Start standing up for your fighters oscar!!!

Pretty much everything lies on average Canelo. Kind of makes me want to root for Canelo. Even if Canelo loses it would definitely hurt Golden Boy but I don't see them fading.

He's going to run into the same problem Haymon and Arum ran into. All these fighters with nowhere to fight. HBO doesn't have enough dates to satisfy K2, Main Events, Top Rank, and Golden Boy.That's why GGG's fight in Monaco last year wasn't televised. That's why Main Events was looking to get Kovalev and untelevised fight in Russia. That's why Bob is always talking about doing his own PPV in Dubai. That's the reason Crawford has only fought twice this year. Crawford should've fought at least 3 times this year. Sadaam Ali is Bradley's mandatory and he's only fought once this year. And he's been out there by himself promoting himself for the fight. The WBO screwed him over and Golden Boy didn't say ****! This has always been a problem and that's why we've seen Top Rank and Golden Boy jump back and forth between Showtime and HBO. And that's another reason I don't understand all the PBC hate. Haymon saw this problem and did something about it. You owe it to your fighters to get them fights. Oscar has burned bridges with Showtime so he can't go back there. Arum has gotten himself fights on TruTv, a Time-Warner owned channel. All of these promotional companies need to put pressure on Time Warner to open up more channels so they can build their younger fighters. How does HBO expect another PPV star to emerge if the younger fighters aren't getting exposure? I can see Golden Boy becoming like Main Events. A small hall promoter with one big name on HBO.

I thought Showtime and GBP were still buddy-buddy. What happened? Also I thought Crawford only fought twice this year because he had missionary work for his church.

Watching Espinoza and De La Hoya go at it on Twitter they don't seem to buddy buddy. But the one thing about business is that they'll usually put their differences aside in order to make money. But I think Espinoza is so #teamPBC he's not working with anyone but the promoters PBC uses. But it's business so I don't count anything out.

Crawford did missionary in 2014 also and he fought 3 times. It's not like Mormon missionary work where you have do devote a certain amount of time.
