his fights with maidana and berto were classics. josesito lopez was a ****er as well.
dude's had such a strange career. he's the perfect example of a feast or famine fighter. sometimes you get the beast and the softie all on the same night
i remember when he was coming up as a 16 year old in the open division of the amateurs, and beating everybody up. dude had speed, power, looks, and charisma. i thought he was going to be the next oscar de la hoya. then he fought maidana, and he's never been the same guy since.
i want to add this:
i don't think i've ever seen a guy so consistently fouled behind the head as ortiz was against maidana. he would lliterally reach around his head to **** him on the brainstem. this is early period maidana, where the idea of going to the scorecards must have seemed completely foreign

Thats how I see it.
Wouldn't miss an Ortiz fight.
I used to think that way about Khan.
And I wouldn't bet a penny on it, not on either guy.
Fk knows whats going to happen in an Ortiz fight LMAO.
Plenty of knockdowns most likely.
Good to have the kid back if he's serious, not gonna be easy for him though.Comment
