I don't think that was a fair point at all, I thought it was quite dumb. Especially considering they were saying Kiko would perhaps beat Quigg before the fight.

Kiko has come back and won a couple of times since that fight as well. It's more just that he got caught. Nobody ruined anyone.
I think the point about why Quigg stopped him in 2 and he went the distance with Frampton is fair.

He fought a more timid fight second time around against Frampton cos he was scared of the power. He got dropped early in the rematch and then just kinda saw the rest of the fight out.

The reason Quigg stopped him early was because he ran onto a shot after a great first round.

Yeah but how exactly did Frampton ruin him? I mean, that just didn't happen.

He got schooled, he didn't get ruined.

Kiko got knocked out by Frampton then went on to have the best period of his career only to get comprehensively schooled over 12 rounds by the same man again. That has to take something out of you mentally. He knew there was nothing he could do with Frampton.

Although I do think he believed he could beat Quigg. Only because he didn't think Quigg was that good.

          Frampton.

Eddie is doing my box in, Gallagher is a complete bell-end and the Crayon Eater's power is being slightly over-estimated due to the Kiko fight.

I expect Frampton to comprehensively outbox him as he is the far better fighter. Skills, technique, footwork speed....the only advantage he doesn't have is size.

Yeah I know, but he wasn't ruined like they said he was. It's just excuses really. Who cares? As I said, it's not like they destroyed Kiko like Froch/Bute for example. That's a proper ruining.

Maybe. He walked on to a great shot. could have happened in the 1st round against Frampton too. It doesn't really mean much, Frampton's fights were better anyway as he schooled him in all departments.

I would say I am a Frampton fan, and I hope he wins. But I'm finding this a really hard fight to call to be honest, too many unknowns with both guys especially Quigg. Right now Quigg looks like an extremely hard man to beat, in my opinion I think you need to be air tight defensively and have good boxing ability, Frampton has very good boxing ability but makes lots of mistakes defensively. His defensive game is very loose, he can be sloppy and leaves openings even in the first Kiko fight he got hit clean so much. That worries me, Quigg can hurt you a number of different ways and even though he can't match Frampton in the skill, or speed department and is not as versatile, I can see him walking Frampton down or even catching him with something over the top or in an exchange.

Frampton is not going to become a great defensive fighter over night so I think for him hurting Quigg early is very important. If he can do that, I think he will make Quigg hesitant to come in with the same ferocity he has been recently and then Frampton can keep him on the outside and box him to a UD, or even stop him late.

As I am going through the permutations all I can say is...what a fight this is! Both guys have a good skill level, they are both world class, in my opinion both guys can take each other out. Frampton is the greater talent, but Quigg's improvement is remarkable, I think he has really tightened his game up at the Wild Card, and probably the sparring he has had there as well as Manchester you can see the technical improvements. I actually think now he makes less technical mistakes then Frampton does, even if he doesn't have the same skill or creativity in his work. Its such a hard fight to call...I think I will go with Frampton by close decision, but he will have to go through hell to win this one, and I wouldn't be surprised if he has to pick himself up off the canvas.

I don't make that prediction with much confidence at all.

I'm on the fence. I like both guys but I'll drop whoever loses in feb as they'll just be a bum

I think Frampton is the better fighter but i find Quigg exciting to watch.
