Will GGG accept a 154 lbs fight with Cotto???

Now that Cotto has been stripped of the title:

and GGG says he still wants a Cotto fight:

Will GGG accept a fight with Cotto at 154 lbs?

(btw..... he was always after Cotto, having the belt was just gonna make it easier for lil'g to get the fight. Now if he wants a fight with Cotto, he's gonna have to do like everyone else in boxing has done before him.)

      Maybe he would.

We already know Cotto won't fight Golovkin even at 157lbs, otherwise he'd have fought him instead of Geale.

Cotto was already talking about the Canelo fight at that point... which was one of the agreements for getting the geale fight.

He doesn't have a choice. He'll fight those guys at 154/155 or he can continue to fight the Tureano Johnson's of the world.

Don't think he does. Cotto's definitely a bigger star, but he's not worth shaving down 6 lbs at Golovkin's age.

Mayweather sold ~1m PPVs by himself. Cotto sells ~300-350k PPVs.

Plus, if Cotto was interested in that fight (I don't think he will be), his CW demands have actually been pretty reasonable. Don't think he'd ask Golovkin to goto JMW. If he does, it's as good as admitting defeat in my eyes.

Cotto was talking about the Canelo fight before he fought Martinez. He could've offered to fight Golovkin at a CW for way more money than he made against Geale and then fought Alvarez.

Cotto doesn't hold any belt at 154, so not much for Golovkin there. 154 would be hard to make for GGG, so only Floyd worth it.

you mean they, as in Canelo & Cotto, were talking about a fight. Cotto chose the Martinez fight. Was gonna fight Canelo after, but Canelo left the negotiation table & quickly signed the kirkland fight. So Cotto goes and fights geale as his tune up for the Canelo fight, which we are having now.
