I'm with joto on this one
Why the fawk should he pay?
But let's call a spade a spade joto is clearing ducking GGG.

Had GGG done the same thing then he would be ducking Ward
Joto has no desire to fight GGG. Let's call a duck a duck. None of this he earned the right bullshi t!

That being said good move let the WBC give the belt to someone else plus $1.1 mili is outrageous.

Cotto should just donate that $1.1 Million to charity and make the WBC look ******.

Cotto is getting paid $10 million to fight Alvarez. If he gave the WBC and Golovkin $1.1 million, that would mean that he is paying more than 1/10th of his salary for the right to fight for a belt that is worth about $500 retail.

I would not pay it either. Not only would I not pay the $1.1 million total, I wouldn't pay the WBC $300,000 for a recognition. In fact, I don't even think it is worth the $125,000 that Cotto offered. Mayweather refused to pay the WBC $600,000 for his title defense against Mosley. They settled for $250,000. I hope Cotto never pays another sanctioning fee for the rest of his career and I hope that Alvarez, Ward, Kovalev, Klitschko and other big name boxers follow in his footsteps.

The because the maximum sanctioning fee for any title fight should be no more than $10,000 and no one should ever pay a step-aside fee. The amount the WBC is asking for amounts to highway robbery.

I tried to tell you ****s yesterday, AND the day before.....

Not surprised that I didn't get an answer to this post.

You f@ggots would rather support an OBVIOUSLY corrupt sanctioning body ahead of a fighter who has proven that he is a legend?

I have no respect whatsoever for casual fans or golovtards.

The $300,000 fee for the title is too much IMO though the remaining $800,000 is fair.

GGG would probably get like a $3-4 mil purse to fight Cotto. By GGG approving Cotto's request to have a voluntary defense against Canelo, GGG is potentially giving up that $4 mil purse because there's a chance that Cotto might not win (therefore GGG losing out on that $3-4 mil purse vs Cotto) so that's why a step aside fee is (the amount you can argue but the principle of it is clearly sound). It's no different than any other fighter (Garcia paying Postol, Lee paying Saunders, TR offering to paying Bradley's mandatory in Sadam Ali, etc) having to pay mandatory.

Cotto already said that he would've been fine paying the mandatory but the sanctioning fee was too high.

I explained the situation to you here.....

But you weren't smart enough to understand the situation, you actually told me that post was irrelevant

Genius, what right to the WBC have to install the WBA champion Gennady Golovkin as the mandatory (AGAINST THEIR OWN FKN RULES)..... and what right do the WBC have to completely ignore Wladimir Klitschko, who has DOMINATED the heavyweight division for a DECADE?

My advise would be to delete the **** post that I replied to above, because there should not be a WBA mandatory for the WBC middleweight title ACCORDING TO THEIR OWN RULES.

According to the WBC rules, they have no right to install Golovkin as mandatory..... so they also have no right to demand that Cotto pay Golovkin any kind of step-aside fee.
