The WBA will do whatever they want. If you think Briggs has a 0% chance of a mandated shot, give me odds that reflect that belief and I'd be eager to wager.

Tyson Fury is the WBA mandatory, despite not being ranked #1, despite not being the interim champion and despite not being the "regular" champion. If Fury can get a mandatory shot from being ranked #2, what makes you think there is a *0%* chance Briggs can get a mandatory shot from being ranked #2?

None of your "logic" makes any sense because we're talking about the WBA. There is no logic.

Fury is leap frogging Chagaev and Ortiz to get a mandatory shot and I believe there is a better than 0% chance Briggs can do the same thing next year.

You simply have no understanding of how events have transpired to date to bring us where we are currently at.

Jennings vs Ortz winner will await Chagaev vs Browne victor within a year, Briggs reluctance to face anyone in top 150 literally means he's waiting on an optional, and/or Haymon or Klitchsko falling soft or feeling he'd be a big fight with his moronic fan base behind him.

Briggs is very entertaining outside ring but no indication that he wouldn't just get blown away. Shannon, please beat ANYONE with a pulse first and the fans will be interested. I know I would. Lucas Brown, Berman Stiverne - I'd even settle for Derric Rossy! Right now just looks like he's searching for payday and can't win.

Or why not try and get on an undercard. Could have helped plenty of cards so far. Least get his name out there again. Only noise he makes is outside the ring, most people probably dont even know he boxes anymore.

Shannon Briggs almost died at the beating from Vitali as one sided as a fight could get and sad to see briggs beaten worse than any black man since the days of slavery without an arrest being made. Shannon is not fit to fight a top contender mentally and could die from another brutal beating. Briggs is broke and desperate and the job market has little for a man with brigg's lack of mental skills-Crash test dummy and being a guinea pig for a drug company is about all Briggs could do. Toll both school would even be a challenge for the dim bulb Briggs as would clown college.

#2 Tyson Fury is about to fight for the title and should he lose, will drop down. #3 Lucas Browne is the mandatory for the "regular" title and should he lose, will drop down. #4 Fres Oquendo is injured, but is probably still owed a shot at the "regular" title and should he lose, will drop down.

So before you know it, Briggs could be the #2 contender (Interim champion automatically gets the #1 ranking). Depending on how the WBA makes up the rules as they go along, Briggs could end up as the mandatory for the super champion, regular champion or interim champion at some point in 2016.

We shall see.

But considering the WBA is located in Panama, I'm sure Briggs fighting there is politically motivated.

Briggs hasn't the quality of inner belief needed to test himself against anyone in the top 150 let alone no.1 ranked challenger in division. Yes ok it's plausible but lets be honest Briggs is sitting until he's called.

Look I find Briggs fun and follow him on instagram but come on son, he has not been in the ring with a legit fighter since 2010. On boxrec he is 46 ranked just 1 place above Hughie fury. That says it all.
