Despite what the GGG haters say, it's on Ward this fight hasn't been made

Team GGG's camp already once tried to get this fight. Back during the meetings with HBO, it was GGG who said yes and Ward said no. HBO thought the fight needed built up.

GGG has done his part in a major way. Ward has since put in no work the past couple of years--why, injuries, promotional issues, etc.

And even now, what's Ward doing. Injuries. Good thing GGG didn't give up on Canelo to try to see if Ward was serious.

And to top it off, Ward wants 50/50, and meet at 168 sometime next year.

Is it really that crazy team GGG would scoff at Ward.

So now their position is Ward is an unreliable guy and that's why they won't fight him. You can't make this **** up haha

So is Ward reliable. He has done nothing to keep his name out there.

This whole Golovkin V. Ward shhh is just getting sickening. Like Floyd didn't go through the same shhh with his supposed boogeyman. Just the level of hypocrisy in this sport is crazy..what happens when you beat the supposed boogeyman? They find the next name and the next name and the next name until they find one who can do the job the others couldn't. If you are a Floyd fan and you support this shhh after having fought god knows how many battles in validating him in arguments you are a flat out hypocrite. Floyd beats Pacquaio the public wants him to fight Golovkin, he beats Golovkin they'd want him to fight someone else. It's the same shhh just a different name.

Fighters from previous eras likely took crap from part time boxing fans and wannabe analysts as well. Internet forums just didn't exist to give legions of ******s a voice, so it wasn't as big of a thing

Reality is Floyd is a racist, we all remember his racist rants about Jeremy Lin and Manny Pacquiao. The fact they are a minority in sports and are excelling in their respective fields and receiving praise is wonderful and they should be encouraged. Lets not forget how difficult it was for the first black athletes to pave the way with the racists always trying to play down their achievements EXACTLY what Floyd Mayweather is doing! He is no better than those ignorant racist ****s who hurled abuse at the black athletes who paved way for him and many others!

How many Kazakhs do you know of that have inspired their people through sport on the world scene like GGG has? I'm happy for the guy and wish him well. I'm always entertained when watching his fights and don't hear the boo's that I used to hear from the crowd when Floyd fought!

mayweather hit the nail right on the head. sanchez continues to use wards issues to duck the fight. first it was that ward would'nt fight out of the state of california, brings no money to the table, and nobody in america knows who he is. the entire country and boxing community knows exactly who ward is and what he's accomplished on both levels. nobody in little G's country knows who he is and thats why he's fighting over here. he can't make no money over there and there's thousands of fighters.now sanchez is using these other excuses. it really looks like little G wants cotto and alvared to fight him a (bigger) fighter, but little g does'nt want to fight a bigger fighter (WARD).

I'm not a fan of Abel. He talks waaay too much, but in this case he does actually have something of a point. At this stage HBO and K2 would be very wise to treat any offers from Ward very carefully - a Ward fight would require an extensive build up and the weight change would have significant training implications for GGG. It's not something you'd enter into unless you were pretty certain it would happen, and sadly with Ward, that's impossible.

50/50 chance GGG would just be left with his di1ck in his hand.

I'd really like to see GGG fight Ward but I ain't holding my breath.

The GGG haters refuse to see reason, well because of Hate!

Especially this dude. GGG could knock out his beloved Ricans, but there is always Ward.

Let me break it down for you all.

There could be some very good fights coming up in MW. But the way things are, politics has made this almost meaningless.

If this was the UFC, we'd have GGG long ago faced Canelo, Lara, Andrade, Quillin, Lee, and moved on to other fighters. The belt would have been his, and we wouldn't have to have the doubter scream resume, knowing damn well what happened.

Everyone likes to say GGG ducked Lara and Ward, but it's simply inaccurate.

Lara wanted to much for HBO to justify the fight. Monroe didn't. Monroe made more financial sense. This is exactly what Lara's manager basically said. Sometimes fighters can not fight other simply because the fight won't make enough to justify the cost.

Hopefully Lara will move to 160 and not demand so much, or the fight can be built up to make financial sense.

As for Ward, GGG was ready, Ward wasn't. And GGG moved on. Ward wanted to step up, but not now, in a year. GGG would have been dumb to cement his feet to a 50/50 match with Ward whenever Ward felt it was time.

And as Kovalev soon learned, Ward has not quite lived up to his end. There is time, but between Wards opponent choice, his not so bad injury (his view), and recent comments about not rushing Kov fight, build it like Mayweather versus PAC. That fight had a decade build up almost. That's a far cry from the end of 2016.

As much as that narrative dissatisfies GGG's distractors, it's the way it went down.

The other day Holyfield was stating the obvious, that GGG will go where his team says go.

And his team isn't gonna make bad moves just to please those who hate GGG.

Why would HBO lose money so GGG can fight Lara?

Why would HBO build up a Ward versus GGG show while Ward has been doing nothing. Nor would GGG be smart to forgo his MW challenges all to face his ultimate test, if that guy gets right.

And why couldn't Ward just get busy?
