Sorry, but I think that is absolute rubbish.

There is nothing to indicate that fight wont happen, it's right on track.

No GGG was in no position to clear out MW, none of the other titlists wanted to fight him. Only now he's within reach of all 4 belts. Unfortunately Ward has only become less dependable and marketable in the mean time.

Your memory is weak so I'd rather not use it as a basis for further discussion. Please go back and make a list to document with sources all the things you think are different excuses. If you have half a brain, you'll find they all center around the two fighters walking separate paths to build up to an eventual fight where they'll meet. The problem is two years later one guy's walked while the other one's talked.

Fair enough. I hope it does. Let's wait and see.

Yeah I sort of wish GGG would get a translator next to him and answer properly but I think deep down GGG would give the harsh ethering Floyd would be due entitled to.

What Abel said is fair though, Floyd is just playing the race card he's done it before and he's trying to do it with Golovkin If he is retired, truly retired why mention guys he didn't want to fight?
Floyd's career is far from what it looks like when you analyze things.

But, all dribble aside..... HBO/Kovalev proved that there is absolutely NO reason whatsoever why Golovkin cannot fight Ward IF he thought he could beat him.

Kovalev thinks that he can beat Ward, which is why Kovalev/Duva/HBO never mention those dozen-or-so childish excuses that Golovkin and his fanboys use to justify ducking Ward.

While HBO/K2 kill themselves trying to manufacture Golovkin into a star..... Kovalev could actually become a real star simply by beating Ward.

                " simply "

Ward is unmarketable because he's undependable

Right. They are not mutually exclusive. He is unmarketable because he is undependable. And his only fight recently is Paul Smith who has 00 wins vs good fighters, has opponents whose total records add up to about 70w 400 losses and whose best fight was a loss to Arthur Abraham. Ward has made sure he is unavailable to fight GGG.
And all this posting about GGG vs Ward is

so Floyd can come back safely figuring GGG has gone up and won't come down again

because Floyd knows everyone is gonna remember him saying he would beat GGG at 154.

Floyd is hoping to come back but not while GGG is waiting to come down to 154 to beat him.
If GGG doesn't go up Floyd is not coming back.

Kathy Duva seems less than certain that Ward will fulfill his contract to fight Kovalev: "The only "if" here is if Ward actually gets in the ring. We can't stop him from getting injured or retiring. But if he gets in the ring after June 2016, it will be against Sergey Kovalev. We would love to do the fight sooner, but Ward wants his tune-ups. In the meantime, Sergey will go on with his career against the best opposition that isn't afraid to fight him."

The next link quotes Andre Ward himself. It questions whether Ward was sending a signal on the possibility -- not an inevitability -- of a fight against Sergey Kovalev.
"and I mean, if that's gonna be a great fight between Sergey Kovalev and myself, if and when it happens, and great fights need to be built up, and that's what we're gonna do."

In the article Sanchez inadvertently called Main Events irresponsible for scheduling a fight with Ward.
