Only among a certain race could a serial domestic abuser make hundreds of millions of dollars, get his own jail sentence postponed just so he could fight, regularly dictate terms & conditions to his oppponents, have his own PED use covered up by athletic commisions, and still maintain a victim complex.

And people wonder why racism exists?

this kind of rhetoric sold fights. lots and lots of fights. this is the difference between floyd mayweather and andre ward.

andre ward is not controversial. you might talk a bit about his boxing if you're a casual fan, but the conversation stops there. floyd mayweather is a compelling figure to the casual fan, who is concerned much less with boxing.

i'll also add this. floyd had a "did you see that" element to his style that ward, hopkins, did not have. his counters when he was at his best were picture perfect. the right hand counterpunch after pulling back couldn't look any better on TV. remember when he bonked ricky hatton on the way in with a check hook and ran him into the ringpost? andre ward's not that kind of fighter.

floyd was the perfect storm of selling ridiculously expensive tickets in vegas and 70-100 dollar ppv.

"I took risk, I took chances." lol True blue honest fans can laugh at that statement Floyd made. Taking risk and taking chances means you take on fights true knowledgeable fans think you can lose and taking fights that you are going to be the underdog in. He was never in those type of fights.

Good points. Floyd is a great talent but has that trash element to him like kanye west, which made him a huge attraction. The public responds to that sort of act which is why people like the kardashians are so popular. Add in some talent, and like you said, you have the perfect storm.

This is an odd post-you say Floyd never took risks yet he was supposed to be afraid of ODH, SHane, Hatton, Cotto and Manny.

Is it really honest to assume that only the guys Floyd didn't fight posed a risk?

Too many Mayweather threads right now. He's retired, wish the little **** would just **** off with his boyfriend Beiber or something. I thought GGG wasn't even white technically anyway.

                      And Pacquiao isn't Caucasian.
His HBO contract stipulates that he has to fight Kovalev, that is a nutshell is forcing him to move up.

Pacquiao isnt caucasian but has a LARGE caucasian following. Most of the American audience supporting him against Mayweather were caucasian, plus a pacquiao victory knocks off a black superpower from his perch, so it serves 'their' interest whether Pacquiao is caucasian or not.
