From where I watch it, GGG waited for about 2 years to fight Ward... Now GGG had and has some championship fights lined up at 160... Therefore, Ward is the one who has to wait this time around... or look elsewhere...

It's true. Not everthing he said, but most of it. They don't care if the star is only white, they just are anti-black. It could be anything but black. But when it is a white person, extra effort is put in by the fans and media, networks. Like Floyd said, it's obvious, and it really is.

And about Ward being forced to move up by HBO, but not GGG to fight Ward, despite Ward vs GGG being the more financially sensible fight that's true. Floyd says he took risks and moved up and GGG hasn't, but protects Ward. His point is that extra effort is being made to knock off Ward and protect and groom GGG.

Which black fighters are comparible to GGG in terms of how they fight though?

Only ones I can think of off the top of my head are Wilder (a prospect who any network would love to have) and maybe Spence (same again). Both are prospects though have been signed to Uncle Al for a long time. HBO would snap them both up if they had the chance

I can see that White or Hispanic Americans might get preferential treatment on American networks, but the idea that GGG has got in any easier because he's white is not true. He's popular because he is a killer in the ring. Same with Kovalev.

No way. GGG and his team wanted no part of Ward. That's a fact and undisputed with their request for him to be 164 if he wants to fight GGG. Can't argue that.

There is no obsession. You go around saying anybody from 154-168 can get it, you have the nerve to try and enter in his division and face dudes like Froch and Chavez Jr at 168 but Ward at 164? Then have the audacity to say he brings in no views or money while your ass can only drum up 100-150k PPV buys? (with Roman Gonzalez on the undercard as well.)

When using the term "Great White Hope", it implies on what those in control of things behind the scenes of Boxing want, NOT want the fans want. I never once implied or insinuated that white boxing fans only want a white fighter, never said that. I clearly made my point that those behind the scenes want that. Don't get it twisted or try to change my argument when it is written down in simple English for you to comprehend.

Did they push Pavlik harder than Taylor? Are you serious? They were pushing that fight early in Pavliks career simply because of him and Taylors history together in the past. They were talking about that fight for years before both fights took place. They pushed him like crazy before he won the fights and no one really cared. Even after he won the belts, they still tried to push him as this feared MW and no one cared. When B-Hop beat him, look at B-Hops reaction in the ring after the fight. It says it all really.

Look at the way Lomachenko and GGG are being pushed in comparison to Rigo and Ward. 150k PPV buys show that the boxing fans want to see the best against the best and not who HBO and others want to push as the best.

People behind the scenes want what brings them the most money - which is what the fans want. If pushed to answer, I'd say more time than not they'd choose a white guy over a black because it's less common/a novelty.

But vice versa is also true. Aside from the fact he was clearly dominant, the tv networks couldn't get enough of Tiger Woods (I hate golf btw). He was instantly getting comparisons to Arnold Palmer (or whoever their best is), right from the beginning.

And I argue Taylor was clearly more pushed in his career than Pavlik. HBO made Taylor the air apparent to Hopkins when he was early in his career. Nard even talked about before he even signed to fight Dela Hoya. They gave Jermain 4 easy HBO fights prior to Hopkins who they cheerleaded him on to beating. Pavlik had a Zertuche fight then was thought to being fed to Miranda. TR was criticized for 'cashing out' Pavlik with the Miranda fight. He then KO'd Miranda and got off the deck to KO Taylor. Pavlik earned his media push with those dramatic victories.

When Hershman brought Ward over from Showtime, they went out of their way to make him a name. How many other active fighters get commentary gigs? They set Ward up with the Dawson fight at his weight in his hometown. They allowed him a pass on the Bute & Stevenson fights. Then they set him up with the Pavlik fight. Ward was the one who killed his own career momentum.

And I promise, if Lomo starts having fights like Rigo/Agbeko he'll be gone too. So far Golovkin doesn't disappoint in the action department, so he remains easy to push. Action/drama will always take precedence over skill/technique in this sport. It's why they still talk about Ward/Gatti and no one remembers Bradley/Alexander.

Firstly Kov struggles with popularity , and that's why he has to always go to someone else's place to fight most times .Secondly , GGG does have it slightly easier only because he's has a promotional push behind him and because of that he's protected somewhat as an investment .
