He's not saying Pacquiao is Caucasian but he is implying he is more acceptable to white America than he or Andre Ward. You don't need to be white to be White America's hope. People rooted for Joe Frazier to beat Muhammad Ali. Frazier wasn't white but White America wanted him to beat Ali. Why? Because an arrogant black guy is always public enemy number one in sports. I can't help but notice you had to leave a long list of fighters out of your post, let's start you off with Mike Tyson, a legend across the globe, regardless of ethnicity. You fail to realise that some people have mass appeal, some simply don't.
Or I could point out the simple fact common to every walk of life, which all of us have experience of- bragging is not a particularly endearing quality, regardless of anything, just on a human to human level, braggers are often considered repetitive, vacuous and not fun to be around as they are essentially tiresome and grating company. So, you really shouldn't be surprised that being a braggart doesn't carry mass appeal, it's not a race issue, it's a human issue. Braggarts come from all walks of life and they are met with the same reaction from all walks of life.
Besides, you suggest that buying a ticket to a boxing match is somehow dependent on skin colour, which seems a little odd.
