" when he can go up and beat Andre Ward until then I'm not convinced ".

That suggestion will go down like a cup of cold sick on this site

I think when you're calling Manny Pacquaio Caucasian to explain the conspiracy, what you really want to say is this:

"Boxing is very important to black people. It's one of our things and we aren't doing very well at it right now. I want to retire, please someone else who is black or at least black-ish come along to replace me so I can retire."

White fighters are not more popular. Under 10% of the world is white, a very small audience. White fighters took over all the heavier divisions and most people outside of Europe basically stopped watching because they felt alienated.

Another thing to be pointed out is that Ward has always maintained that when he moves up, he's going to grow into the division and stay there.

Whereas Golovkin's people have boasted about weight hopping between 3 divisions.

They knew as soon as they pressured Ward into moving up, the coast would be clearer for Golovkin because no one is going to ask him to go to 175.

People rooted for Joe Frazier to beat Muhammad Ali. Frazier wasn't white but White America wanted him to beat Ali. Why? Because an arrogant black guy is always public enemy number one in sports. Just look at the whole Richard Sherman debacle. People didn't even know who the guy was but he received a firestorm of hate because of one inappropriate out burst.

Floyd does not articulate himself well but he has a legitimate point. There have been movies and books based on the concept of the "Great White Hype" for years. People act like it is a new phenomenon.
Do you realize Ali trolled Frazier about being the blacker of the two and called him an ape several times? Frazier was the "white guy" in that fight? lmao

When a black guy in africa kills another black guy in Africa, some people will blame a white guy doing his laundry in Wisconsin. It's just the way their minds function.

No, Ward has said many things, like he'd go to 175 for the right fight. Him and his people also famously boasted he could beat Klitschko and hed be HW champ by 32, so this crying is most unbecoming. Really pathetic for p4p #2

I think it's more of an issue with HBO and Top Rank for Floyd and he would have had a better argument if he compared the treatment of Rigondeaux and fighters like Lomachenko, GGG and Kovalev. On the other hand, the latter fighters styles attract more casual fans. To me the argument of racism is frivolous in the sport overall since Al Haymon has so much pull......but Rigo still got a raw deal.

This time next year, they will make the claim that Ward is ducking Golovkin when the latter conveniently decides to step into the Super Middleweight division.
