Ever since Ward's name was brought up in relation to fighting Golovkin, there's been a huge drive to get Ward to move up to keep away from him.

Ward has proven himself already. Golovkin hasn't and real fans want to see him in a real fight but the powers that be won't let it happen because they need to protect their potential cash cow.

And so Ward can't move up to face Kovalev just as some people want GGG to move up? What exactly is the difference if I may ask? It's literally the exact same thing.

Except that GGG has bigger fish to fry at MW like Cotto and Canelo.

I don't see anything wrong with boxing being more inclusive. Manny Pacquiao brought in many Asian fans throughout his career. Now we're seeing the Eastern European boxers bringing a whole other set of fans. There's some truth to what he's saying about Ward but I wouldn't call it a conspiracy. There's always been a search to find the next great "white" boxing star so that's nothing new. Mayweather isn't breaking any news with his comments but I'm sure there will a lot criticism because it's coming from him.

Be honest, you think Cotto or Canelo actually plan to fight GGG? I could be wrong but I doubt it. I think GGG is wasting time waiting on them, he could probably find legacy defining fights at 168lb....MW not so much.

GGG was offered the Ward fight for late 2016 so he could have fought whoever he wanted in between to set it up but his team rejected it out of hand. They weren't receptive to it or tried to negotiate. They said "maybe 2017".

Ward is then pressured by HBO to commit to a Kovalev fight instead. I mean it's obvious what they want to happen.

So you are okay with a guy staying in ONE division claiming to be the best? From 140 to 147 people do that all the time. So ggg can't go from 160 - 168? One pound more? You couldn't debunk anything I said.

By your own logic ggg should be able to move up one or two divisions. Like I said nobody would give Broner props for staying and beating the shyt out of everybody at 135. Nobody will give Crawford credit if for the next 7 years he stays at 140 feasting on bums. he would be EXPECTED to move up and challenge himself.

ggg's resume speaks for itself.

Actually people make fun of Broner for gliding through 100 divisions without really accomplishing much of anything of lasting effect in any of them. Maybe he should take notes. At least GGG has 1 or 2 fights that are bigger than a Ward fight at 160. Ward has zero big fights at 168.

How many has Ward? Anyway GGG offered to drop down a full division and meet Floyd at SWW, where Floyd was #1. Per Floyd and his fans, going down a few lbs, never mind a full division, is harder than going up

Ward is moving up now!

And thats not always the case moving up fighting bigger guys where your power is not as effective is much harder than cutting a few pounds to fight smaller guys which is why people cut weight in the first place but it works both ways

Someone should explain to Mayweather that Gennady Golovkin isn't any more White than Andre Ward.

Both had a White father and a non-White mother (Ward's mother is Black, Golovkin's mother is Asian).
