For a fighter that was willing to fight anybody throughout his career, it's sad he had to go out on a loss, but he's clearly lost his drive. He's made good bank so he should be set for life...there really isn't anything to feel bad for.

I always seen Brandon as a bit of a bully the way he came in so much heavier than his opponent. He was a funny guy, generally kept it real, and genuine warrior, but the rehydrating a few weight classes bigger than his opponents always bothered me.

I have nothing against the guy unlike alot of people here. But he did do it to himself, he lounged around too long, couldn't get rid of the weight and had to drain from 170.

Although I suppose if not for Roberts lack of knowledge in making weight despite wanting his fighters to drain massive amounts of weight, with someone who knows his sht like when they had Ariza in their corner, the weight probably could have been made.

I don't feel bad for him. He is a young man who has made more money than I could make in twenty lifetimes. If he used a little bit of wisdom in handling the money he has made he should be worth millions. He didn't train hard so he took a beating. He should be fighting at 135 or 140 if he trained harder and ate right. If he doesn't want to make the sacrifices a top pro boxer must make to be their best then he should retire. Boxing is very hard and it's not for everybody. His heart is no longer in boxing. He put on some great performances and had some great wins and he has been a world champion. That's something to be very proud of. I wish I could say I was once a world champion boxer but like most of us I never had any where near the rare fighting ability to become a champion or even a successful pro. Also I don't like getting hit. I don't see why I should feel bad for Rios. I think he is a good position in life and I wish him all the best.

In what world is Brandon Rios set for life because he made "millions" but Floyd Mayweather will be broke in 5 years.

Rios was an accident waiting to happen so no I don't feel sorry for him.

He just isn't an A level talent, no big deal he did very well for himself and now he's done. He could have and should have gone out with the win over Mike but theres no shame or ill effect with Tim beating him. He took good shots to the gut that wasn't conditioned to take shots and thats what happens.
You don't recover from body shots when your not in shape, he'll feel them all week long!
Hopefully he has savings and has a good support system in place for life after boxing. Good luck Brandon.

LOL why would I feel bad. I can't believe he's blaming his management/promoters for being out of shape after not getting him a fight in the summer. like what the ****? This guy never worked out after the alvarado fight and blames his promoters for being out of shape. Fat **** deserved to lose.
