Huh? I can already see mistakes that he makes that's gonna eventually catch up to him, I mean it sort of already did with Salido but it's bound to happen again, he's open for right hands.

It's no different than Floyd haters hating on Floyd..."oh he held a lot...oh he ran" etc etc

Talking about the Salido fight out of context is useless. Looks like you just looked at boxrec and based your opinion on that.

Loma FOUGHT Salido when he didn't even have to because the man was over on the scales. No one would have knocked on Loma if he walked away from that fight because Salido was heavy.

Salido was the much bigger man. Salido was fouling Loma on the regular with low blows and that takes a toll on you. Loma having too much of an ego just kept fighting. Any other fighter would take a knee and keep complaining about low blows until the other guy got DQd.

And lastly you could have given that fight to Loma and no one would have said a word because Salido didn't do **** in that fight, and Loma actually had him on the verge of a KO.

So come again with that Salido fight.

Or should I start knocking on Floyd because it's a lot easier and there is way more material to work with. But, no I wont do that.
Talk about a lazy way to put things... You didn't address the actual facts of the fight and the fighters, just the politics of him being able to pass on the fight, Floyd sucks, etc. Floyd did fight conservatively many times and he deserves that criticism but that doesn't deflect from the fact that he's accomplished FAR more than Loma and the comparison is foolish. Give the guy time to prove himself because he's done little aside from seeming very impressive. His first moderate test, he failed. So don't be dazzled by the sizzle before you even bite the steak.

I get it, because I saw that same "special" quality in several other fighters who eventually became legit. Problem is, I also saw it in others who became the butts of boxing jokes. I've learned not to overvalue anything done to low level competition. Imagine how hyped this guy would be if he was undefeated.... This place would be unbearable. We've seen his ceiling and until he shows better, we can't project infinite possibilities on him.

Lomachenko is very very good. However, he proved it with Russell Jr., not with that last opponent. Also he is not better than Mayweather because Mayweather fights guys who are 10-15lbs heavier and wins clearly. Lomachenko on the other hand, could not deal with Salido's weight advantage and did not have the guts to make Salido pay for low blows. Foul Floyd and we'll see how that goes for the fighter, ask Ortiz. A fouler like that, you have to draw a line with them, you have to put them in their place. Loma failed to do that because he was too timid.

Compare Mayweather's SFW run with Lomachenko's FW run when he is done, there will be no comparison. Then let's see Lomachenko end up at 147lbs and fight 165lb fighters and win. For now you can say he is a very good fighter, but saying he is better than Floyd is asking for Loma to get overrated quickly. If they met at 130, prime for prime, Floyd had every advantage you can think of. Power, with 27 wins 21 by KO's, blazing speed, footwork like no other SFW of his time, counter punches that left fighters discouraged quick, height, abnormally long reach for a SFW at 73", and Floyd gave up no weight advantage as they are the same size(@ 130).

When Floyd was Loma's age he had a far better record, better Ko ratio, and against better opposition. The guy had the best compubox stats in all of compubox's history. Lomachenko is a very good boxer but I don't see what all the hype is about. I do enjoy watching him more than Ward but he's nowhere near the level of Mayweather in terms of athleticism or technique. People are talking about the Pacquiao fight as if that is how Floyd fought his entire career and that is just not true.

Loma is a very good fighter but I think he has more to prove before we can say he is great.

He has no answer to size, it's what the Salido fight showed me. That means past FW, he is in trouble.

Floyd was fighting welterweights while weighing in 2-3lbs above his scale weight, and knocking them out too, AT 19-22 years old with 90 amateur fights . At 130, 135, majority of Floyd's opponents weighed 145-147. Both Corrales and Castillo did. Not even close to the same level.
