I really really like Loma, and i was shocked when he was still fighting as an amateur a few years back, he was like 3 or 4 level above his competition, at the time i didnt think it was fair lol. He has taken the same sort of attitude into the pros too and i think he has all the tools to be right up there with the best, i would follow his career closely and hope he gets the fights that would define his legacy.

I think Loma is great to watch, but can also make it hard to watch at times during a fight. His movement is great, his punching angles are superb, and when he lets it go in the pocket it can be amazing to watch. The only thing that bugs me is so much of his punches lack true snap(arm punches).

He rips shots to the body well, but he never goes all out to the head. I think he has bad hands, and he will have to use them harder to keep the better 130lb fighters off him. Walters is relentless and will trap him at times, and he is at a much higher level than Salido was.

It is almost like he is 9/10ths there, but I hope he takes those extra steps, as he will need to make some of the bigger stronger guys hesitate, like Rigo can.

Ward clinches and head butts, mayweather holds, pot shots then runs. Lomo merges attack and defence in one unit. Whilst hes attacking hes always defending, the way he hits and spins off must be truely frustrating. Throw in his incredible hand speed and you have the connor mcgregor of boxing.

        Best fighter ivd ever seen.

One of current favorites to watch.

Interesting theory! I hadn't considered that his hands might be shot but it's entirely possible. Maybe not even shot, his bone structure just might not be able to take the punishment. It happens, even among the elites.

loma is a great fighter. more skillful than rigo? maybe but the dude can't punch and its evident jugding by dudes willing to engage with him. My boy rigo on the other hand put the fear of the left in these fool. I love watching this dude push guys across the ring with a couple straight lefts. loma cant push guys back or lower their output like rigo can.

I really wouldn't hold Salido against him as far as what will still work. Salido won basically because Loma was uncomfortable and couldn't handle being roughed up. Lomachenko looks much, much better and is only going to get better by the fight.

He's good. Latest fight was disappointing in comparison to past performances though.

                    • I can't go that far & I think its a lil early to even say that sorta thing.

Loma is obviously a very talented guy to do what virtually no one has done in boxing history (& usually its done in lower divisions by guys with professional muay thai experience), but I can't say he's anywhere close to the best I've seen while fighting these lesser caliber of fringe contender type guys largely. Since beating Russell he's basically been fighting the same type of guys Wilder is trying to gain experience from. Its impressive he's fighting these guys at all with 6 fights, but that doesn't get him any best fighter awards from me.

I look forward to him stepping up several times over the next 2-3 years & seeing what he's capable of vs the truly elite at his weight.
