Could Floyd Mayweather have took the shot Hearns sparked Duran with?

Do you think your Mom could take the back shots from your Dad, that your neighbors lay on her?

I think even if he took the shot there's no doubt he would be heavily stunned and a few quick range finders from hearns and he'd land another one. Floyd is also is hittable in the early rounds it's actually his smarts over the fight that predict the shots coming so he would be in massive danger against hearns. A guy who dint even hold back against a monster like hagler. Can't say that now about today's fighters. I personally think that first shot would put him down. Duran was out cold by that shot and down for a long time

Everytime I watch a gif of that punch, I feel the shot reverberate through screen and crack my own jaw...I think the real Duran died from that shot and that an imposter took over him

He was just a mere shell of himself. For example during that bout, Duran stood too erect. In addition, he showed no head movement at all. In other words he just laid down.
That Brawl in Montreal fight with Leonard really ruined what was left of his career. The Roberto Duran who challenged Tommy didn't show up to compete and win. He just showed up to lie down and collect a paycheck. I seriously doubt that he even trained hard for that bout in the first place.
Remember that it was the late Manny Steward who had negotiated the release of that 154lb WBA title belt that he had won from Davey Moore, so that Mike McCallum could challenge for it in exchange for challenging Thomas Hearns for his WBC title for more money instead.
So my question is where was the same drive, fire, desire and intensity he displayed against Leonard in their first bout? It was absent. The man literally took a dive in that bout just as he had done previously several months earlier against Marvin Hagler in 1983.
Once again, Duran didn't display any amount of tenacity and ferocity in that bout as he had done previously in Montreal to take Hagler's title away. All he wanted to do was just to last the distance against the Middleweight champion of the world as he could boast that Marvin Hagler couldn't knock him out.
Also, those official Vegas judges' scorecards were some of the worst I've ever seen. The fight was not even remotely as close as Marvin carried the fight the entire night as Roberto retreated and constantly fought off the back foot.
As a matter of fact, Duran boxed and fought off the back foot all night long against Hagler; Which was very untypical at the time for a slugger/puncher like Roberto Duran.
