I think its premature to say Gonzales is the best fighter on the planet

The no.1 spot should be vacant until someone starts to stand out.

The Estrada win was good, but it wasnt at Estrada's weight class, and even then it wasnt a dominating victory in any sense.

His runs at 105/108 arent especially great. The divisions werent full of life, but there are a couple of decent wins.

His legacy lies more at flyweight imo. He needs the Amnat fight, and the Estrada fight. Thatd solidify his position as the best fighter for me. Failing that, beating Inoue at 115 would be a mean feat too.

Inuou doesnt want to fight Gonzalez yet. He wants more fights first. Which is fair.

We need to stop equating lineal with best. The whole fault with the lineal system lies with the fact that the lineal champion may not be the no.1 fighter at the weight (Cotto, Stevenson, Jaro).

Niida was neither lineal nor clear no.1. We must remember that 105 only really sparked up when the likes of Yaegashi, Ioka and Gonzales fought there. You could have easily ranked Sithsamerchai or Condes over Niida. I think Niida's notable win there was over Takayama and it was razor thin.. It was a decent win for Roman though, but I wouldnt put as much emphasis on it as you have.

108 was barren when Roman fought there, and it still is. Donnie Nietes may move up to 112 soon to fight Roman, thatll be a good scrap.

Edit - misread 'respectively', but my point stands
Yaegashi and Niida were both good wins though however you rank them, and (in reference to my comment you quoted) much better than Cloud and Shumenov.
