even broner jumped up to be great lol, if he stayed at 135 he would still be undefeated and just now moving up to 140... but everyone would be complaining he needs to move up, and is only fighting bums... and would lose if he did move up... its like a no win situation lol but GGG gets all th excuses in the world.. hes on of my faves to watch but the hypocrisy is strong amongst his fanatics!!!Comment

Actually I think Pac could still make 135 and Mayweather could probably still make 140, even right now. Pac outgrew Featherweight and Mayweather outgree 130. But they chose to move up higher for legacy and money of course. What many people fail to realize is that there's a difference between moving up and growing out a division.
De La Hoya grew out of 147 to 154 he moved up from 154 to 160.
Manny grew out of 135 to 140. He moved up from 140 to 147.
Mayweather grew up from 140 to 147. He moved up from 147 to 154.
Fighters shouldn't get bonus points for growing up. And in reality most guys only move up willing one division. Even rarer is someone who moves up two division.
There's more than one road to greatness and it's time fans start accepting.
That's all subjective and it depends on the era and competition in respective weight classes. Hagler was the man at MW, but moving up to 168 wouldn't have added to his legacy.
Pac has 8 division titles, Mayweather has 5. Both pretty damn impressive. Both could have fought smaller guys their size, but chose to be better than just great.
Look man, GGG is my favorite nowadays, but you shouldn't discredit legends like Oscar, Floyd, or Pac to make him look better.Comment

Floyd hasn't moved up divisions. He moved up to 154, but the guy he fought in that division wasn't a career 154 fighter. He fought at a CW with Canelo.
Floyd has not taken any risks so will be penalized accordingly when compared to the true ATGs. Floyd says hes not a middleweight so cant fight GGG? Well, Toney wasn't a heavyweight, but did you ever hear im not a heavyweight come from Toneys lips?
Just get on with it Floyd and less of the excuses.Comment
