Well when I hear a Bradley fight is coming I don't get really excited. He doesn't have much pop, but that's not it, because I love Mayweather, Hopkins, Ward who aren't exactly KO artists. It's also his style. But I would watch Bradley vs another good B fighter or A fighter. I watched Bradley vs Chaves because I was bored. But I think with Bradley's behavior towards his former trainer, the fans who know about it, like hardcore fans, will probably be more put off by Bradley as a person now. His personality was a big plus for his marketability and now he hurt that with his behavior.
Why is Tim Bradley not more popular then he is

Lack of knock outs
So I been thinking Tim Bradley is a throw back fighter he will literally fight anyone he is tough as nails he never gives up his fights are entertaining as hell so why is this guy not absolutely beloved? The easy answer would be because hes black and while im sure that has something to do with it. I think there is far more to it. Other fighters similar to bradley who put their heart soul and even life on the line to stay in and win fights have become beloved, even getting into the hall of fame in some cases because of these reasons.
Then it dawned on me the first pac man fight where he got his gift decision. Manny was such a beloved fighter that it instantly killed bradley because in his mind he thought he won and honestly who are we to tell him hes lying he probably truly believes he won but people say because he wont say he lost drop the title all this bs that they hate him when honestly thats ridiculous.
Then I started thinking this guy cant catch a break you got the obvious manny 1 and the back lash. Then after that fight he takes on the mostly unknown provonikov and gives one of the most gutsy performances in the last 50 years. After the fight he gets no credit once again and people say he lost, there was drama with knockdowns and other things but at the end of the day he earned that victory and all he got was more backlash. His biggest victory was marquez i had him winning but once again more backlash most seem to think marquez won for reasons I cant figure out no matter how many times I watch the fight. The guy cant catch a break. Then there was the fight against chavez he won and they scored it a draw somehow once again taking away a clean victory. Then he dominates Vargas but takes a shot late and fight gets stopped early once again more drama no clean victory even tho he would have won he once again gets no credit.
Im just curious what you guys think about all this cause to me bradley is a fighter who cant catch a break. even tho he is a fan friendly fighter who literally puts his life on the line in fights and will fight anyone, the guy is as throw back as it gets but still the guy is not beloved and basically gets no credit even though hes everything people pretend they want in fighters. You would think by now all things considered people would start to back him. Hes not the fastest, strongest, quickest but he has so much heart that it over rides all that. Hes not a KO artist but so what you dont have to get knockouts to be fan friendly. The guy says he wants to fight GGG and honestly I believe him the guy is literally a fighter from 1945.
So in saying all this why is he not more beloved? you would think a guy whose fights are that entertaining that cant catch a break would eventually get more fans and become a bigger star at the very least in the boxing world. I personally dont get it and im wondering your guys opinion on it all because Bradley is one of my favorite fighters.Comment

and u know thats BS because if that were the case why arent bradley, ward, spence, and crawford beloved by them either??trust me,its not the way they carry themselves, thats only a cop-out or excuse for them.Comment

I always liked bradley a lot of heart always in shape seems like a decent guy. If you want to see black fighters that were decent guys watch interviews of Floyd Paterson and archie moore right after the Marciano fight. both moore and Marciano two humble gentlemen and that was a few minutes after they were killing each other. negroes today get disappointed when they are not constantly worshippedComment

Bradley is a great fighter and cool guy from what I get but he lacks a true star-making personality and/or story.
Just seems like a blue-collar fighter but this isn't the 1930s anymore.Comment

32-1, 12 KO's. He's a pitty-pat puncher. His only notable KO was against a wayyyyy past it Casamayor. He got a gift decision against Pacquiao the first time around. Provo soundly whipped his ass, but he got the decision anyway. He even suffered brain damage in that fight, which caused slurred speech for 3 months! Provo had him out on his feet. He was swinging on instinct the way a wilder beast kicks even as a lion's fangs are crushing its windpipe. Yet they said, "What heart this guy has!". If he beats Rios soundly, I'll gain respect for him, but he won't, so I won't.Comment

Fast rewind: Alexander vs Bradley held in a predominantly black location. Only about 200 people showed up. Don't know why you expect non-blacks to take interest when he can't even attract black people. So I been thinking Tim Bradley is a throw back fighter he will literally fight anyone he is tough as nails he never gives up his fights are entertaining as hell so why is this guy not absolutely beloved? (I remember waiting for the fight late at night and I thought HBO decided to cancel it because of lack of interest from viewers. I was expecting at least one undercard before the fight.)Comment

Qside nailed it with his example. Neither Bradley nor Alexander are known for exciting, knock-down, drag-out fights, in fact, they are known for quite the opposite. Who wanted to see them fight each other? Very few. More people will tune in for the Rios fight, because they are curious as to whether Rios will starch Bradley, or if Bradley will somehow outclass Rios.Fast rewind: Alexander vs Bradley held in a predominantly black location.
