I think mental ward is on PED's and they are trying to figure out him adding a little weight for LH and might have trouble with the PED formula. the way he was throwing around Froch who was the strongest SM I ever saw I figured he was juiced. maybe the phony testing is a little better now and they have to get around itI never much cared for Ward.
But I appreciate athletes and no athletes deserves to be injured.
I don't wish injury on anyone, but I felt that something may not be right about him. I said a long time ago I didn't think Ward was physically the same as before. These Athletes give it there all, and they have this happen, it sucks.
I love to clown, but I truly don't wish bad on anyone.
Now I'm wondering if his body just can't hold up. If he knew before hand about this, it goes a long way towards explaining the crappy opponents.
I don't wanna be too harsh, no one deserves to have their career derailed or ended by injury.
Gods speed to getting healthy.Comment

I think Ward will never attain the same level he got to after Super six. His time at or near the pinnacle of the sport is done.
An injury would explain why he has been so tentative with all these tuneups. He probably realistically is nursing several nagging injuries.. shoulder, knee, and Lord knows what else.
Not everyone can pull a Floyd being inactive then coming back a world beater. And some guys have very short primes. I think Ward's prime is dead and gone. He's eating off the byword of himself from yesteryore... on to the next one.Comment

lol, wtf. He'll probably line up another three tune ups when he recovers, then get injured during one of the camps and start the tune up saga all over again. He's never fighting Kovalev. Kovalev certainly shouldn't wait around for this guy.Comment

LMAOSo people were complaining about the opponent and that he was on the card.
Now he's off the card and looking at a better opponent, people are still complaining.
And I used the term "people" in the loosest possible terms when it comes to the swamplife cancerous fanboys that support GGG.
ethered, with prejudice

Roc Nation announced the deal within the last week here on boxingscene.I just told you precisely that I never heard Ward saying that he signed something related to Kovalev... not what the media reports said...
You give me a link which states that "According to FightHype sources, Andre Ward has finalized his three-fight deal with HBO which will feature him on the upcoming Cotto-Canelo card and line him up for a showdown with Sergey Kovalev" ... "with him finally taking on Sergey Kovalev in what will probably be next Fall."
Thanks, but I was able to read the news by myself...
It's also on every other boxing site, so I'm not providing a link.Comment

It's hard to believe anyone on here is actually bought into the hype and lies of Andre Ward, its almost WWE-esque some people just want to root for the guy who acts like a complete d*ck.
Nothing wrong with being a bit of an ass but when you don't back that confidence up with fighting top guys that isn't right.Comment

There are actually people who are delighting that a fighter got injured and had to cancel
Just wow.
I completely understand why Dirk said what he said earlier.
Fkn shameful.Comment
