Even with Ward being off the show, the PPV undercard is still stacked with fights. Takashi Miura defends his WBC super featherweight title against Francisco Vargas, Randy Caballero defends his IBF bantamweight title against Lee Haskins, and Jayson Velez throws down with Ronny Rios in a Puerto Rico vs. Mexico showdown.

Ward isn't looking to fight a LHW at all.

Look to be honest with you cinci I have nothing against ward , personally I think he had a bad run of luck with his legal issues and then his injury , but he really needs to get his ass into gear if he ever wants to be considered the top p4p in the world again because at the moment he is going back, not sure if he really has the desire to get up there again , maybe them years of has made him civilian now....yeah it would be great right but there's other goals as well for both fighters and you can't stall your career waiting on one boxer...I hope he does pull it together soon

This fight was never suppose to be on the under card. That is the new publicity stunt to get headlines for the fighter. Bob Arum use to always say that Donaire would be on the Pac cards and just recently a good fight was scheduled to be on a big card and then got rewired to it's own headliner. I believe we will see a lot more of this

The loss of Ward may end up hurting this PPV... I have no interest in watching Miura or any of those other fights, but I did have interest in seeing Andre Ward as the co-main event behind Cotto and Canelo and I'm sure a lot of people did as well.

It's bad news for everyone.

I was interested in seeing him as well and it would have added value to the card for me. Disappointing news.

This would have put Ward in front of a big audience too so I hope Andre and/or Roc Nation have a good reason for doing this.

Ward has zero intention of getting in the ring with Kovalev, or Beterbiev, or Stevenson, or Golovkin.

It's great for the viewers that Ward is off the ppv but I hope hbo doesn't give him 2 headliners before the kovalev (considering their tight budget). Arum is going to be pissssed! Lol

this undercard is straight trash. ggg-lemieux flopped but that card was stacked, cotto/canelo should just be the first and only fight, not interested in none of those other fights. as far as ward, its pretty lame brand didn't get a full camp, so if this is true i agree with it. put it on regular HBO and if its not too late replace brand with that cuban gonzalez, ward would get credit for beating him.
