Does anyone else feel Manny is simply a puppet on a string who will end up broke?

I was just responding to what the ts was saying and I just respondef that if you think manny will go broke there is a chance Floyd will go broke too.

For the record I dont stand on either side of the fanboy camps because I call it like it is and I hope both will live a rich long life because they entertained me and gave me some good fights.
    Fair enough.

I guess, from what information that's been able to make it into the general ether, I don't think it's fair to put Mayweather into the same basket as Pacquiao.

Pacquiao made significantly less money over his career, was paying out excessive amounts of his purse to his handlers over his entire career, has bequeath a ridiculous amount of money to his church, has self-financed several electoral campaigns for he and his wife, apparently has a massive tax bill still hanging over his head, travelled to the biggest fight of his career with 300 people rolling with him (Pacquiao financed) throughout his entire camp, and is on the verge of financing his own national campaign.

Take the fan hat off and, unless the whole tax bill simply disappears by decree, I don't see why folks think Pacquiao would be just fine, even in the PI.

But I doubt he'd be broke dude. He's like a god in his country people with nothing would find something and give it to him if he asked.

If that happened id imagine he'd be like mike Tyson is but only in his country. Ya know he doesn't have 300 million anymore can't act can't sing but he's big mike and people just wanna be around him and they know that people are always happy to see him so he'll always have a job.
^^^ BIR is still chasing him down; Pacquiao tried to get the bill shifted and cancelled, but came up short. From the looks of it, Pacquiao may end up using his Senate party move to try and leverage whatever party is in power to wipe away his bill "for bringing great pride and acclaim to the PI" or some other silly reason.

Mike Tyson, from the looks of things, is living hand-to-mouth; Celeb Net Worth puts Mike Tyson's worth at $1m.

Pacquiao being okay with going from having $200m in net assets down to $1m? Not so sure

and who's to say floyd even does half the **** he does on TV? remember, the guy was selling an image.

that's true. boxers aren't your typical white collar millionaires though so i can understand where the sympathy comes from.
Floyd, by his own admission, walked away from the sport in September. What has he done since? Travel the world, make a few paid club appearances, hang out at his boxing gym, and travel out to some of the different shows that his Mayweather Promotions fighters have competed on.

He bought at least one car, likely gambled on some football/basketball games, among other things, but Floyd's been largely chilling.

I like i said, who cares. I just wish them good luck and good health. I don't get paid to count or do finances for those guys so I can care less.

You being a fanboy you have a lot invested in the Floyd/pac thing and it doesn't end with the fight. Either camp wants to see the other in the gutter.

Just be a fan and wish them good luck in retirement and leave it at that. Instead of trying to evaluate there money and where it goes.

Same but it sort of depends on the circumstances if he's been dealt a harsh hand to become broke there are different levels of riches and I'll be honest I don't think Manny or Floyd have any reason to be going broke any time in their life.

                Wow.

Since the two have fought, people are now arguing over who will go broke first, Manny or Floyd. lol

Who cares if Manny ends up broke? He's a grown man that can think for himself. As fans our level of involvement in his life really ends when he steps outside of the ring. We can speculate endlessly about what's going in this guy's life but it's his life for better or worse, and even if he does lose it all how many people can say they've lived a life like him?

It's the pacfans who brought Floyd into this thread, never once mentioned in opening post.

It's always been this way, using his name to stay relevant

He's a politician in the Philippines. He'll probably get paid a decent pay still after boxing.
