LOL,are you serious??? THEY ARE THE $$$$$$ THEY ARE THE BIG NAMES...They will tell GGG to agree to the catchweight if he wants the fight simple and plain..GGG brings no big money and needs to beat one of them to get to that level....LOL i remember the WBO MADE COTTO FIGHT MANNY AT A CATCHWEIGHT OR HE WAS GOING TO BE STRIPPED...cause MANNY was the BIG NAME AND THE $$$$$$

Brings no money? lol okaaay man.

The WBC could get sued. That's all the motivation one needs.

What gayness they could do is make Canelo a "champion emeritus" or some bogus title that allows him to duck while Golovkin gets elevated to "regular champion" or whatever.

Cotto maybe but not Canelo. If it was the WBO, they wouldn't strip either.

I think they will drop and not care. Why waste the money on sanctioning bodies when you can have a big fight with belt or not.

Under a legitimate & just title awarding organization I think they've had already forced Cotto to fight GGG or stripped him. We aren't dealing with that obviously doe & haven't been since I've been watching boxing. I'll be just as interested as many to see if the WBC is ready to bite instead of just barking with this claim of stripping of Canelo or Cotto.

The lines between business vs sport in boxing have been blurred greatly already, but you either need to enforce overall positive boxing moves like having GGG fight the top guys or you look even more corrupt than people think you are already. Is this a move that would require the WBC to do that? **** idk, I'm kinda leaning towards yes if its Cotto & ehhhhhh I'm not so sure about yes with Canelo.

For Gi Gi's sake, hopefully they don't strip the winner. Golovkin needs to fight one of them to go to the next level. WBC stripping Cotto or Canelo and then announcing that Gi Gi is the full champion on their Facebook account does nothing for him. His team need to realize that asap.

I think 3% of Cotto & for sure Canelo purses have Sulaiman Jr drawing hearts about their names more than GGG's.

They are between a rock & a hard place with their corruption rating doe is the thing. If they don't enforce this situation THIS time then how corrupt are people gonna say they are. Does that get enough backlash against them to to risk it? Idk, but I think thats more the question thats being considered than any other equation involving this situation cuz who wouldn't want 3% of Canelo's future purses vs GGG's purses?

                  1. GGG does bring money
                  2. Normally I would agree with Larry on this situation.
                  3. However, in this case, the WBC has been more clear than ever before about what the next step is. They are at risk of a big lawsuit, and they have lost in court before, which hurt their business pretty badly.

                  4. Still, there is good chance something funny happens like switching the winner to the interim titlist or something like that.

Always with the ignorance.....google Graciano Rocchigiani...

Of course the winner gets stripped unless GGG gets payed.
