He puts punches together well in combination ,but i don't see the blazing handspeed everyone thinks he has. I think if he gets hit by Pac like he did Gamboa he could be in trouble or become Gun shy. I think Pac will take some punches , plus remember Pac looks good against Come forward fighters. I think everyone is critique him on the Floyd fight but Floyd is just a difficult style for anyone. Crawford is way more offensive. When you get offensive with Manny he will hit you alot.

Crawford is good fighter. I just don't see anything special about him right now. Time will tell. As for the Mayweather fight. I think Manny did to Floyd what Floyd is used to doing to his opponent's. Manny out defended Floyd, he countered Floyd, he set traps for Floyd, he was the effective aggressor. He took away Floyd's amateurish jab, his jabs to the body, and Floyd didn't snap his head back clearly, once in 12 rounds. On top of that, Floyd was HUGE in there and ran all night. Why did he run? Because Manny is fast and smart. If Floyd would've tried to show who the better fighter really was, he would've gotten beat up. He knew Manny was injured weeks before the fight. A true champion would've came to win, not survive. You can be defensively responsible and let your hands go at the same time. Think James Toney, Whitaker, SRL, etc. He held, ran, fought dirty, etc. He stunk the place up. In a championship unification bout, you should have to FIGHT to win. Manny did his part, Floyd did not. Floyd scammed us all and never looked so ordinary in the ring. When you go back and look at how bogus the commentators were, versus what really happened, it makes you question the integrity of the sport. The credibility of it. I'm being honest here. If Maidana and Castillo deserved a rematch, so does Manny, who many believe won the fight.

I honestly believe they are targeting Garcia; he is the more suited style for Pac.

Haymon wont feed Garcia to Pac. He needs Garcia to remain "undefeated" for the meantime. He wont even pit Garcia against his other top guys.

Clearly, Arum is the sole picker of who Pac fights next. He's weighing the pros and cons between Khan and Crawford.

(Forget Garcia. Arum would have a hard time dealing with this father and son team. They shrugged off money fights, ie, Khan rematch, Mayweather, in the past, they're not going to get attracted easily in another one.)

Crawford is an in-house fight and a potential torch passing for Arum's fighter. Khan is more popular, but Arum won't be able to have sole control over the potential cash earnings of the fight.

However, Arum is in a good place dealing with Khan because he can use Crawford as a leverage. Overall, Arum wants Crawford for obvious reasons. But Khan is the money fight.

I understand Crawford is not mainstream but any body who knows anything knows how good he is and there's a lot on the pulse and it can be built into a big event a serious fight Heir to the throne type.
Khan is not even PPV in England and has struggled from his PPV debut against Prescott and never made any ground thereafter in fact had one downscaled to normal sky 3 (another story) .When he was top of the bill against Devon they were actually giving tickets away to a only a half full arena where he had only a handful of fans. His main fan base is in Pakistan, they don't buy PPV .....so please tell me more ?

Compared to Crawford, what have you got?

Don't care who Arum picks. I would prefer Crawford, it that's what you want to hear.

A retirement fight is some silly **** anyway. Floyd shoulda just retired too instead of fighting Berto. If your heart isn't in it might as well just walk sooner.

I didn't see any indications that his heart wasn't in it. He trained hard, came into the fight in top conditions as always, and that was the last fight on his Showtime contract. He honored his contract and took the fight serious. That's called professionalism

I feel like the caliber of opponent suggested his heart wasn't in it. I've never been critical of Floyd's opponents, but Berto was an awful opponent & not the type of guy the best fighter on the planet should be fighting (imo). Professionalism dictates you don't gift a huge fight to a guy who didn't deserve it.

So true people forget Pacquiao fought his hardest opponent 4 FREAKEN TIMES LMAO. Usually an average person wouldnt want to face their hardest task over and over.
It's because he grew up poor, so there was no other choice BUT to fight and fend for yourself. He may be nervous before a fight, but the instinct only knows one thing, and that is to survive and fight.
I hope the people remember Pacquiao for his warrior fights with the Mexican legends, and his uprise to take on bigger opponents. Not just for his money fight with Mayweather cuz that ONE fight does not show his legacy

Professionalism imo means you show you, do your job and honor your word. But that's neither here nor there right now but I do want to talk about Berto as an opponent. I don't think Berto was a bad opponent for his last fight. I think it was a horrible promotion by Mayweather Promotions. Instead of trying to sell us Berto being a threat, it should have been promoted as a celebration of Mayweather's career. I read an interview with Schaeffer where he talked about how horribly the fight was promoted and things he would have done different. They should have brought in most of Floyd's old opponents, the all access series should've focused on Floyd's career, should have flown out boxing legends and given them front row seats and events during the week. I would have bought the PPV if they'd sold it for what it really was, Floyd's going away party.
