And anyone who doesn’t believe that is, well… just wrong.

At the very least, it seems those late to the acknowledgement party will force the mammoth Ukrainian’s acclaim to wait until he’s either five years beyond his last punch for pay – and planning a summertime trip to the hall of fame in central New York – or six feet under terra firma in a pine box.

No matter when it comes, though, it’ll be far too late to celebrate a guy who’s done nothing less than reduce a series of musclebound gloved men, some admittedly more threatening than others, to so much concussed, red-faced top dress since he was last vanquished a few days more than a decade ago.

Then and only then will we all be aware of what we’ve been fortunate enough to witness.

Sure, he’s get neither the in-ring artistry nor the vocal stylings of Muhammad Ali. And when it comes to sheer can’t-turn-away train-wreck violence, he’s more than a few ladder rungs below Mike Tyson.

That said, though, his signature combination of size and skill is unlike any the world has known.

He towers over all but a few who’ve ever claimed even a tenuous connection to a world heavyweight championship belt, and the qualities he brings besides sheer size – speed, power and conditioning – quickly elevate him from the ranks of giant-sized pretender to all-time elite contender.

The loudest of the naysayers would be severely challenged in naming a fighter prior to the last 50 years who’d give him more than a midget-sized hiccup. In fact, in a series of eras where the heaviest of the heavyweight champions barely sc****d 200 pounds, a 6-foot-6 behemoth with single-digit body fat at 245 pounds would be as unstoppable as Butterbean at an all you can eat. There is so much wrong with this piece, I wouldn't even know where to start.

I guess one of the big questions going into this fight, is whether Fury can solve Wlad's puzzle.

That's the question before every Wlad. fight, since his rebirth.

But, Fury is a unique challenge.

Wlad. just might be beginning to slip a little bit, also.

And I for one feel that the loss of Emmanual Steward may in fact have effected his fighting style, a bit.

Banks seems to have been a decent fill in, but he can't fill Emmanual's shoes.
If I'm really really honest, I don't give Fury a hope. I think Wlad beats him and beats him soundly. I'm a big fan of Fury and I do hope he can pose some problems, I just think he's coming up against a superior fighter. And not only that, Wlad, I think, has the true champions mentality, you can see it in his face, and I'm not so sure if Fury truly possesses that.

As for Manny Steward - I ****in' love him! God rest him. Loved to hear his commentary on the big fights, when Lampley and Kellerman were slabbering away in their TV presenter accents Manny would just sidle in with his patient voice of reason and explain it how it really was, without ever letting it get to him that these young pretenders were disrespecting him with the little regard they sometimes had for his opinion. At least that's how it always came across to me. The man had a beautiful way with himself.

I can't really comment on his training Wlad and if his absence affected his style, I can't pretend to know about that - I just loved to hear the man talk

Fluff Fury is a soft lopsided OAF with nothing but gas

Fluff Fury has what a win over Chisora? Typical British nothing and a loud mouth soft Oaf is Fury. British boxing is more of a Bugs Bunny type cartoon.

I do think fury is going to give him a hard night tho. wlad is slowing down and fury may out work him if hes extremely careful. hes got that clever awckwardness going for him as well
Wlad's 'combos' consists of a jab followed by a right cross and maybe a hook if he's feeling adventurous. He'll then immediately follow it up with a push down clinch, because he doesn't have the legs to get out the way of any return fire. Meanwhile Fury's throwing five, six punch combinations from all angles while darting from left to right, forward and back, all as smooth as butter.

Wlad may have a crisper one two, but besides that he's clearly the inferior combination puncher

                      Food for thought.

Fury has never been beaten down and to a pulp. He has not been put in a place where he is inferior to his opponent in the ring. He is essentially in his prime. He is a bigger longer guy than Wlad too.

Wlad is OLD. He has been beaten down and out before. He is a stiff fighter who fights tall. He does everything in his power to avoid brawls. We have not seen an opponent able to ruff him up and leave damage in years. He is a master at clinching and controlling with the jab. But we've seen him crumble when he is caught in a brawl in the past.

Fury is exactly the type of boxer to go for broke and do everything he can fathom to win.
