But secondly, what has Wladimir ever done to indicate that he couldn't care less about his fans? Is it doing what is necessary in the ring to guarantee a win? Is that not what Floyd built his entire career on? Is that not what boxing is about? Giving punishment without receiving it?
Didn't you give Fury stick and claimed he ducked Ustinov when his close family member was on his deathbed?

    But when it's Wlad doe..

Its no coincidence 3 days after announcing a injury his misses checked herself into rehab for postpartum depression.
Hopefully Fury gives her something else to be depressed about.

I believe you are reading to much into it. I really believe Wlad is to much of a professional to really care what antics his opponent is up to. I wouldn't even be surprised that he, simply because he isn't much of a trash talker himself, appreciates the attention their antics bring on. After all somebody has to sell the fight.

As far as Haye's t shirt was concerned Wlad thought it was disrespectful and he got pissed and that is about all I remember about it. And it surely doesn't prove to me that Wlad thought he was losing control. And I truly don't understand what that had to do with Wald pulling out of the Chisora fights. Do you believe he didn't feel in control at the time? Just maybe its simpler then that and he realized, like I had, that it was a 5hit fight and he simply moved on.

It's a PPV fight, so I'd imagine he likes Fury a lot right now. After all, it's Fury who's selling the fight and making it worth watching.

With regards to the injury, it's obviously fake. Anyone who's had a torn calf muscle will testament to this being total BS.

Wlad has had a plethora of ****tier fights than Chisora, lets not kid ourselves.

Like I said, the man is a control freak. Look at the contracts he gives out. The way he tries to tell opponents what to do, where to look. The intimidation tactics of sending his big brother to watch hands being wrapped and whatnot.

I can't believe people actually believe he got injured on the flight home after the press conference.

Imagine him sending Vitali in to a room full of Gypsies before their fight

I never once questioned whether or not the injury was faked. It also had no affect on me what so ever and the fight is still going to happen. So therefore I really don't care whether it was faked or he had concerns about wife. That is his business and he also has never made a habit of pulling out fights so it really isn't a very big concern to me. And again I believe some fans are reading way way to much into it.

I agree that Wlad has had some crap fights. I also believe that the Chisora fight would have just been another one. That is why I believe that most rational fans really don't give a crap that it never took place.

With that said and in fairness to Wlad. I bet that he is also close to the top of the list when it comes to what fighters have fought the most Ring top ten fighters in the last twenty years. And what long reigning champ hasn't had their share of crap fights?

As far as the contracts are concerned you are aware that Wlad promotes himself? So sure he is more personally involved with the contracts. And stop acting as if Wlad is the first to do what he is doing because that simply isn't true. And any long time boxing fans understands that.

I am also curious if anyone can name any long reigning champion who didn't have contracts that were slanted way in their favor? That is the way it always has been and I imagine that is the way it always will be, you simply have to play by their rules. The only difference is that Wlad has cut out the middleman by promoting himself.

                    No doubt.

This could be for bargaining reasons.

Or perhaps more likely, he is simply not thinking beyond Wlad., and didn't really have an answer to the question.

That could be a good sign.

Rather than looking ahead to future fights, his sole focus is on Wlad., and so he has no basis to answer the question.

Fury is always a character, and a rather unstable one at that, and I don't think he should be taken too seriously in what he says.

I don't think he even knows what he's thinking half the time.

Well Wlad has pulled out of his fair share of fights, as has his brother. Sometimes no medical statements were given. So dodgy behaviour from time to time.

However, I also don't question that the fight will happen so I'm satisfied, and it's understandable if it's w/r to his wife.

But Wlad fans were hard on Fury with the Ustinov pull out over a deadly matter. So I don't see why Wlad should get his slack cut over some wife issue.
