He waited for his rivals to fall off. If he had also fallen off as badly as they had, or had they not declined, he would never have fought them [or so the theory goes].

So perhaps the wording would be more clear as to say he only takes the fight if, at the time the fight is to happen, he appears to be in a better position than his opponent.

That's not to say the wins were not of quality btw.
    Sorry don't agree

[B][FONT="Century Gothic"][SIZE="3"][COLOR="Black"]The way he struggled against Trout? He didn't struggle against Trout. Only to a non-fan did he struggle against Austin Trout. He fought a very smart fight against Trout, like he does everyone else. Trout had never been to the canvas, either. Canelo sent him there. As for the Mayweather fight. We all know that Canelo was badly drained. He knew how to fight Floyd but he was afraid of gassing because he didn't have the energy to let his hands go or pressure him. I DARE Floyd to fight him without a catch weight. How do you think that goes? Oh, wait. It's Floyd we are talking about. He gets DESTROYED!!!!!! Why do you think he drained the kid in the first place, if he wasn't afraid? Did he drain an OLD Oscar? Did he drain what he thought was a washed up Cotto??? Well then.

One trick of his I like is how he used the jab to the body to set up either an overhand right or a left hook. He'd get guys so confused with it that they wouldn't know which direction the punches were coming from.
Lol that jab to the body right hand combo was in my first post

How the hell do you guys make gifs. And how do you make them so fast?

This is about THE smartest thing Floyd does. He waits until fighters are on a decline, that way he can still have the name under his resume but fight them when they're a shadow of themselves.
Well, the best advantage one can have is best obtained before one even gets in the ring. Many fighters use that trick but Mayweather was really good at that.
                  Makes good business sense too!

Mayweather throws a great forearm/elbow. That skill was undervalued.
