No he wasn't. Erislandy Lara is a much better boxer than Martin Murray. You're lying to yourself if you state otherwise.

Murray was absolutely tailor made for Golovkin too. A flat footed, slow fighter who stands there with his hands up and has no power or sharpness to his punches. Murray is just tough and big, Lara is on a different level skill wise.

Uh, yeah, someone didn't read what they quoted, or doesn't understand. Like my post said. The Postol duck had nothing to do with Pacman for very obvious reasons.

If u wanna desperately try and find any reason to marginalize Ward fine , but at least use a reason that's true and real-time . Fact of the Matter is , Ward hasn't clinched since the super 6 which was 4 years ago .

While Golovkin pretends that he just wants that belt , we all know he really wants recognition of beating a name which Cotton and Canelo offer to him otherwise he wouldn't be bickering over the 155 catch weight Canelo's offering , but instead he'd be sticking to his original talking points which were "Defend the belt at 160 or vacate" .

So if no weight accommodations should be made for the 160 strap (which I agree they shouldn't ) , then tell GGG to gladly accept the vacated strap and move on without bickering over weight , but he wont , cause he actually wants to fight the smaller guy who also comes with solid name recognition . So its not just about the 160 strap , another CONSTANT lie of his .

So stop lying to yourself believing that 154 is an accommodation that GGG would make for Floyd when he CAN'T even make 155 for Canelo of whom he desperately needs and wants for his deficient resume
Canelo is a victim. LOL, Canelo hasn't fought at jr middleweight since the Floyd catchweight. He's quite literally made a Canelo weight for himself. And you have no shame, 1st Floyd, now Canelo. Along with Ward. Who else gets away with excuses?? But GGG gets none.

Crawford has a lot of respect for Golovkin's body of work on the network.

That will NOT be a popular comment TC

But it is 100% correct, and pretty obvious really.

No boxing insiders think that Golovkin could beat Ward.

            • Ward was on an almost 2 year layoff. You expect him to just up in weight and fight the best of that division after being on the shelf for 2 years?? Not the same circumstances at all.

You are overestimating Lara and underestimating Murray. Comparing their records against the top men in their own division, until Murray fought GGG, he had 2 disputed points losses, both in world title fights. Lara also has 2 disputed points defeats against top SWWs.

They were on the same level in their respective divisions and Murray is much bigger.

No I'm not. Anyone with eyes and who isn't a Little G-tard can recognise that Lara is levels above Martin Murray in terms of talent.

Murray is **** average. He fought a good fight against an ageing Martinez who probably took him lightly. Other than that, I thought he lost to an ageing Strum and has no significant wins.

                  • He didn't fight him because he already had a fight signed with Lemieux and another great fight lined up with the winner of Canelo-Cotto. Ward acted like he was the A side but Ward is neither popular or exciting. GGG stated his goals a long time ago. He wants all the middleweight belts and Ward doesn't have one. The terms Ward offered GGG to fight him have never been shown. Did Ward want the fight to be in Oakland? How much money was GGG supposed to get. Ward fans make a federal case out of GGG being willing to fight Froch or Chavez at 168 but he will only meet Ward in the middle at 164. That is supposed to prove he is ducking Ward. Ward stated clearly he would drop to 160 to fight Mayweather but he refused to go down even one pound from 168 to fight GGG. Using the same logic why doesn't this prove Ward is ducking GGG?????? DOUBLE STANDARD, BIG TIME. Ward is a much bigger man than GGG. GGG weighs 170 on fight night while Ward weighs close to 185 on fight night. GGG could give Ward the weight and still knock him out but it's just a waste of his time. Ward has been a pro 11 years and has only had 28 fights. GGG loves to fight. He has been a pro 2 years less than Ward and he has more KOs than Ward has fights. GGG is busy knocking out middleweight champions while Ward has moved to 175 but he fights unranked 168 pounders at 175 pounds. You can keep your wrestling, mauling, illegal holding and hitting, dirty fighting, head butting dull as dirt Ward. I'll stick with Mr. Knock Out GGG. He is the kind of exciting fighter I like.

golovkin makes business decisions just like any other fighter. ward would make ggg look real bad and most likely shut him out, that will put a dent in that boogeyman persona, even though theres no shame in getting schooled by ward. but this debate is pointless now, ward is at LHW on a collision course against kovalev, a guy ten times more dangerous than ggg. and golovkin is obviously focused on canelo/cotto winner, no point in debating this further until golovkin moves up to 175 or 168.

but both ggg and ward are elite fighters, anybody that denies it is in denial. if the only guy that can beat golovkin is a guy of wards caliber, that shows you golovkin is no joke himself, whoever he faces at 160 will be considered a "bum". thats the curse of being too dominant. ggg has no equals at 160.

GGG is a businessman like these other fighters
