    He has the biggest win this year, but the Berto fight was such a lacklustre one that I won't be surprised if he doesn't get it.

        Nobody really stands out. He's not the leading candidate IMO but you could give it to him for having the best individual win of the year.

        Wlad if he beats Fury, GGG and the sleeper Badou Jack should also be in consideration.

            No reason he shouldn't get it. No one will have a bigger win this year. He beat the consensus second best fighter of this era. The BWAA will ESPN it up and give it to the "exciting fighter" though.

                      Even then, it would’ve taken a remarkable effort to surpass Mayweather topping Pacquiao or Pacquiao defeating Mayweather. After all, Pacquiao would’ve beaten the best boxer in the world. Instead, it was Mayweather who made it look easy against an opponent still considered to be among the best.
