Woefully inaccurate. The WBC does not recognize catch weights. As long as Canelo weighs 160 and under, the WBC will recognize him as the Middleweight champion.

Make the fight. Chavez was a serious waste of talent. He was at his best at 160. But he was to lazy to capitalize.
