Don't you have to have at least some talent before it can be wasted???

Jr was the best pressure fighter at 160, during his tenure there.

Don't think he can do it. He's gonna waste a lot of people's time.

        Gonna be a circus.
Agreed! He will be smoking weed, trading every now and then.
I hope he takes boxing seriously. Let's see which Chavez shows up.

At 160 Junior was the best example of just how corrupt the WBC can be. That was obvious when they stripped Martinez so they could get all the planets and moons in line so they could serve the belt to Junior on a silver platter. It is also became pretty obvious why they did it that way when the highly overrated old Martinez beat Junior from pillar to post. But wait? Junior did win about 38 seconds of the fight so he does have some talent.

Stopped taking your post seriously when Martinez became old and highly overrated. He was thee middleweight champion. And had beaten some of the best middleweights at the time. From the real champ Pavlik, up to Chavez.

Chavez at his best could beat Jack. Too undisciplined though.

Chavez Jr likely will beat Badou Jack down, the 168lbs division is weak and ripe for the picking for someone like Chavez Jr, it should definitely be his weight of choice from now on.

Chavez is a former WBC world champion at 160. He can't make that weight anymore. He would naturally be given a top 15 ranking at the next weight when moving up as a former champion at the previous weight.

He moved up to 168 and won the WBC continental americas championship. He's undefeated at 168. I really don't see any reason why the WBC wouldn't rank him.
He beat Vera for that belt then fought at lhw then back to 170.. I mean he's not a full time 168 pounder he doesn't deserve a shot at a belt yet ..
