Look, the GGG comparison is plain ****** but the OP has a point here:

Spence is being ranked by a lot of people, especially on this forum, as a top 10 welter and then, on top of that, they're talking about him deserving world title shots and how he'll beat Khan or Brook etc etc etc yet he has done nothing to even come close to being a top 10 welter. He has done nothing to deserve the hype he has. His opposition, for an 18 fight pro, is exceptionally bad. Really bad. Most top level fighters, by this stage, at least beat a handful of ageing top pros, Spence can't even provide that.

Soto Karass, Diego Chaves, Leonard Bundu, Bob Guerrero, Luis Collazo.
Wonder why Spence isn't fighting one of these type of opponents if he really wants to fight Thurman?

Floyd already abandoned Spence, he has a new toyboy.

Spence will be feeding off more bums until some bum gets a belt or he can fight for a vacant title against some bum. Then he will fight some inhouse guy who isnt one of Al's personal arselickers and this guy will have to lose against Spence, his pocket refs and judges will make sure of that.

I mean its the PBC, what do you expect?

          Protected bums beating Cabdrivers.

The *****s in this forum will have to suck it up and will try everything to make Spence loog good regardless.

It will always be like that.

They are not able to put their agenda and racism aside and cheer for real fighters like GGG and Kovalev.

Life is good being a GGG fan.

He's still making the transition from prospect to contender, Chris van Heerden is actually ranked at number 7 by the IBF and Errol already beat him, yet Errol is still still somehow not in the top 10 by any organisation, his next opponent is unfortunatley not in the top 10 but I guess it's hard to get a guy like that fights with the top guys since he doesn't have the name, he's now at that phase where he's a high risk low reward fighter and it'll take time for the top 10 guys to accept fighting him.

Comparisons between Errol who's been a pro for 3 years and GGG who's been a pro for 10 is ridiculous, plus it's the responsibility of the fighter and his team to get that publicity, if anything Floyd has done a good job for bringing fans attention on his fighter unlike Saddam Ali and his team.

GGG first started fighting guys at the level of Van Heerden after being a pro for like 5-6 years and he's an older fighter than Errol so just relax and watch the guy evolve, just because his promoter is Floyd Mayweather doesn't mean u have to hate him.

For his age, amateur background, talent - Spence has been moved painfully slow. There's really no excuse either. Spence has the Haymon hook-up. Money and tv dates are not an issue, so getting decent opponents shouldn't be a problem.

As mentioned, guys like Karass, D.Chaves, Alexander, Bundu, R.Guerrero, Collazo, R.Robinson, Vasquez, Bizier, Ion, Algeri should've all been offered on the menu by now. He calls out Thurman and when Thurman walks, he goes back to fighting complete no-hopers...

I thought Haymon should've pushed hard to make Spence/Khan. Spence would've won that easy and it would've catapulted him to the top instantly.

Spence definitely isn't off the hook with his level of opposition. It's actually getting worse. I don't know if his team is concerned about something that we're all clueless on, but he'll never improve if he doesn't challenge himself.
