  • The winner of Ward Kovalev will undoubtedly be the undisputed P4P#1, don't think any boxing fan can deny that. Meanwhile, 33 year old GGG will continue to fight the Willie Monroe's of the world, and all of his fans can now breathe a huge sigh of relief that he will go his entire career without ever having to face a real threat

GGG die hard fans should give Ward props for going the Kovalev road and bash him on the way there its really lame. Ward vs Kov is a MEGA fight for me (as well as was Ward vs GGG) and i would enjoy watching two elite fighters going at it.

If ward wants to waste his tune ups for kovalev on do nothing fights let him do it as long as he enters the ring in 2016 with Kovalev.
        A good common-sense post.

        Refreshing.

Ward, after fighting nobody in 3 years, after having a tuneup in Paul Smith needs another 12 months of undersized cabdriver tuneups to be ready for Kovalev?

I mean he already fought mr tuneup Paul Smith, then got a couple bums rejected by NSAC and now faces the next bum that got rejected once and now magically is allowed to be slaughtered.

Ward is a proven liar, so i wouldnt hold my breath that he fights Kovalev.

I see him suing Duva, Roc Nation and HBO first, or have a strange injury suddenly.
Kovalev has the balls to face Ward, Golovkin did not.

Canelo had the balls to face Lara, Golovkin did not.

Geale had the balls to fight Cotto at catchweight, Golovkin did not.

So, good luck trying to bash Ward in a vain effort to make GGG look good

Ward sent an offer for a fight he wasn't even ready for when the other fighter already had a fight lined up.
Even tried to get the money split agreed to for a fight that wouldn't take place for at least a year lol.

Why didn't Ward send an offer to fight when he had his tune ups finished, if he was still going to be at 168?
This is a horse **** deal.
No competent manager/promoter/advisor would have their fighter sign that "deal".
There's no way you really think it's a legit offer. You couldn't have lived this long being that ******.
Keep on talking bull**** and let everyone know how dumb you are.
            lol "negotiating posture"
Golovkin's next two fights, from the looks of the current landscape, will be against Tureano Johnson and Jorge Sebastian Heiland.

Both fights that are likely to be 15:1 bouts, with the paying audience having already been put through the 15:1 Lemieux fight (Matchroom's Eubank Jr is targeting Jacobs-Quillin winner, Andy Lee is promoted, stateside, by Lou DiBella).

            Have fun sitting through those.

Back then in 2013, when Duva had Kovalev, she was ready to sacrifice him for few bucks, her company was broke, with Curtis Stevens as the best boxer from her team. She was really upset when her company couldn't make that 1.3 million with a rematch clause, by fighting Stevenson. But when she manage to get Hopkins in the ring, and strip him from his 2 championship Belts; Kovalev automatically saved Main Events promotions.

When he fought Jean Pascal, he brought money Kathy Duva thought she would never see again in her life. So even if Kovalev contract was terminated with HBO, she rethought about the turn of events, just to realise she couldn't take the risk to match the only valuable boxer she have against Stevenson, no F way.

*God sent Kovalev to me, and I know why God did what he did when he made Stevenson leave HBO for Showtime. For Duva, Kovalev should never fight Stevenson, she know he'll lose.

As of Kovalev, he goes with the flow. Fans wants to believe Stevenson want no part of him, when in facts it's Kovalev team who's avoiding the purse bid. So Kovalev goes along with his lies, trash talks and TV commercials, which he use to boost his image without having to fight his only menace. Talk is so cheap, Boxing needs legendary fights to avoid it decline, Boxing needs Kovalev vs Stevenson, period.
In our era's world of boxing, you wont find any matchup where 2 A-class champion really hate each other like that, and if they ever fight, the winner will automatically become the Undisputed champion of the division thus the number one spot, best pound-for-pound boxer.

And Ward will still be fighting tune ups.
Why did he send an offer when he wasn't ready to fight and Golovkin had a fight lined up?
Why did he want to go ahead and get that 50/50 split agreed to for a fight a year/18 months from now when they both would be fighting other opponents next?
Why didn't Ward just fight his tune ups and send the offer when he was ready to fight?
                Hint:
Because he wouldn't have got his 50/50 split then lol
There's no way around this. Would you sign that deal?
If you say yes, then you are either dumb or lying.
Go ahead and talk about resumes and 2011 and GGG never getting that big fight because belts are meaningless and Cotto/Canelo don't need GGG, blah blah blah. lol

Do you believe that GGG team wants Ward fight in the next year or so ? do you feel that if Ward team wanted to negotiate a real deal , GGG team will be on board ? because i dont , i heard them saying that they arent going that route for now for a while now , is Ward figthing bums next , sure but we get Kovalev in the end of that bum ride , for that i give him props.
You should try and be fair to your not fav figthers because you sound like you arent using any common sense right now......

Will you give props to a 168 fighter going after the LHW king which happens to be a monster Ko artist and boxer ?? (this thread is about that point).
Do you really care if Ward figths a legit journyman or a bum on the way there? really ? or you are just speaking out of hate ? you lost your way man you had really good posts in the past :S

Good on ward for taking this line , great for us to see the 168 & 175 elite going at it!!!

but if wards bail.... i will rate him soooo low , i hope he will be declined HOF status if he decided to lie to everyone around the boxing scene.

I don't believe Ward wanted to fight GGG, otherwise he would've fought his tune ups and sent an offer when he was ready. I'm not even sure he can make 168.
He showed his hand asking for that 50/50 split up front and he wasn't even ready to fight. GGG will be worth more money and Ward will be coming off 2-3 tune ups and probably not able to make SMW.
GGG already had a fight lined up. Ward is still fighting the same tune ups he was always going to fight above the SMW limit.
Why didn't he just send the contract when he was ready?
Who would agree to the money split now for a fight in a year 18 months from now?
I wonder if they already sent the same "deal" to Kovalev? lol
I doubt they did because they will need to have a real contract for that fight.
