Article clearly talks of capitalizing for 3-5 years. Guy is just an idiot talking about himself. Irony indeed.

If PBC folded today, it would leave no legacy. For all the capital investment, it's created nothing substantial with it's brand or fighters. Their dollar/ratings is abysmal. Constantly putting on **** fights has diluted fan interest.

In my opinion their biggest failure is the match-making & scheduling. Putting someone like Lara/Rodriguez in Chicago on a Friday night, Kono/Kameda in Chicago on Sunday night, DeGale/Dirrell in Boston on Saturday afternoon, Guerrero/Martinez on a Saturday morning, Alexander/Martinez on a week nite in Arizona - it's just insane like they've given zero thought on how to build interest in their fighters.

Furthermore it's disturbing that he allows his fighters to choose easy fights and still pays them big money. If you had a kid, it'd be like letting them decide to eat candy everyday. If guys want to keep fighting soft touches, fine, but them pay them that old FNF type of money for it and then offer the big money for serious fights. You wouldn't have guys like Austin Trout telling J-Rock 'No' all the time. Lara wouldn't be satisfied fighting retired WW's, and LSC would've stepped up long ago (I bet LSC goes back to soft-touches now).

Don't be dense. To my point, they ARE a small firm. Try looking at that number in relation to the industry. Not in terms of "bigger businesses" existing. People are acting like Haymon is doing business with the top minds on the street. It's Waddell and fucking Reed. They aren't and never have been a big firm with a stellar reputation. That's just the plain truth.

The first couple years have to be almost a bunch of old fighters, freak shows, and gimmicks. That's what the UFC did.

If the PBC had more Gatti vs Ward , Bradley vs. Provodnikov. Ali vs Frazier, and personalities like Iron Mike, Naseem Hamed, Roy Jones Jr the PBC will be in much better shape with casual fans.. but PBC keep been trying to promote young unproven most casual fans don't know

Well no ****. I don't think people understand how convoluted the sport of boxing is with bull****. No one who started 7mos ago in boxing is gonna have a legacy. It takes longer than 7mos to even bring up legacy in a conversation. Some of you cats are insanely unrealistic with expectations for PBC. Some of you are like a guy with a 1st trimester pregnant wife who keeps acting like **** is effed up cuz the baby ain't here yet.

yeah, i thought they should have announced themselves on the scene with a **** instead of just continuing business as usual on a new channel. but then i guess many of the boxers in their roster only signed due to the promise of easy money and might up and walk if they were suddenly thrown in at the deep end

More or less, idk if I'd be quite as harsh with it, I think PBC actually has a lot of young guys who aren't there yet more than they got old, freak or gimmicks going on. The face of the UFC for years was the 3rd or 4th best Gracie. If GBP wasn't active when Oscar was still fighting GBP's roster woulda been 100% bs back in the day. For how long PBC has been in the game they got a INSANE roster, but its not a "take over boxing" roster yet by any means.

If PBC sinks or swims it'll still be highly interesting to see how things ran their course. And the reality is since this info has been known by investors PBC has made a Fox deal that'll be showing more boxing on prime time national TV (sounds like they even have a 24/7, All Access type show attached to this deal) & as of this morning have announced plans to enter the UK market.

You spend over $300 million dollars in 7 months you should have something to show for it. Haymon wasn't starting from scratch either, many of his fighters were established names within the sport from the money he milked off Showtime in the previous 2 years.

Over $300million dollars and yet if it were to fold at the end of this year, it'd have left no more a lasting impression than Duva's fights on NBC did.
