Chavez went from not being able to KO Matt Vanda, Troy Rowland, John Duddy, Billy Lyle, and Sebastian Zbik to a power-puncher. I think it was for the Manfredo fight, there was 3 other guys in the bathroom stall with Chavez while he gave his urine sample and none of them was the commission inspector! Everything bad that happens to Chavez Jr in boxing he's earned.

I like Andy Lee a lot, I really hope HBO picks this up. Or at least someone in America picks it up. I was curious if Andy would be on the PBC side of the fence, but he seems like a one of the guys who is a free agent. Which is probably the smart way to do it if you can.

His American promoter is DiBella (who is now a Haymon employee) but he has a different promoter in Europe.

I think if he fights golovkin it would be in Europe. Haymon might give DiBella a spanking if he's involved in an hbo event.

If Lee's able to come back this quickly, Lee vs. GGG sometime around St. Patricks Day could do HUGE anywhere in the US. But that's less than 3 months between fights for Lee, so I doubt it.

Lee has a decent name and still out there contending. Saunders is a pretty good fighter in his own right, more talented than McEwan was and I liked that guy thought he had a shot to upset Lee. It's a decent enough fight for HBO.

I remember Steward wanted the gloves checked for the fight and was willing to put Lee's gloves up for inspection as well. Roach went full drama queen and brushed him off but to be fair there was nothing in the contract about glove inspection, it was just something Steward sprung at the last minute.

Christ....are people actually excited at the prospect of Golovkin fighting either of these guys?

Lee was getting outboxed by Korobov and Jackson. He has very good power, but that's all he brings, he has no chance against Golovkin, who has a really solid chin. And that's not to mention that ***in horrible Chavez Jr knocked him out.

160 is dead, GGG needs to move up.

I actually like the idea of seeing if Lee can land that right hook before he gets knocked out more than watching the winner of Cotto-Canelo try to out box him or watching Lara run for 12 rounds and then act like a douche and scream that he won. Lee has improved a lot. He's still a underdog, but I think he's got as good as a chance as anyone at 160.

You're right. Let's just assume he can beat a future hall of famer (Cotto) the biggest star in the sport that's not retiring (Canelo) or the other belt holders at 160 (Lee) and the winner of the Jacobs-Kid Chocalte fight.

He's got to go to 168 to fight who? Ward just announced he's going to 175.
