It's a troll thread because no decent Golovkin fan ever denied the strength of Ward's resume. No one.

Andre Ward won a Gold Medal at the Olympics, only Silver for GGG so if you're sad enough to go back to the amateurs.....you stay losing.
I thought your thread was about strength of competition? I think we can all agree that Ward walked through absolute nobodies on the way to his olympic gold, while Golovkin had to face some pretty damn decent fighters.

Also, even though I know you tend to dislike videos that show facts you don't like, check 8:20 - 9:30 in this video, they asked him about the results at the olympics.

And here's an old thread regarding the final that he lost in the olympics:

Kovalev beats GGG in all departments if it were down to me.

GGG is just the guy that HBO have handpicked as their next star. His PPV numbers show that the public aren't convinced yet.

My thread is about who has the better professional resume. It's a basic question.

No, what I'm saying is it's close, because outside of those two wins Kovalev's resume is very weak and those two wins aren't that special. As a weird analogy, rocket fuel for example, Pascal and Hopkins as fuel sources may propel Kovalev's ship a good distance at once but the rest of the fuel is very low grade and the propulsion is very little, compared to Golovkin's fuel containing numerous decent grade fuel sources, they both travel about the same distance before running out of fuel.

And you talked about losses and bad performances etc affecting p4p standings. Kovalev has been KD'd I believe and has a draw on his resume.

Uhm, no. That's a nice deflection attempt where you once again disregard the content of what you're quoting (because it doesn't match with the fairy tale you tell yourself - seriously, are facts your kryptonite?).

              But your original post stated:

All three of these men are ranked in the top 5 pound-for-pound by Ring Magazine and are very highly thought of but who has faced the weakest competition in their whole careers?

Notice I have used their entire careers to give a fairer reflection unlike some other polls which are going around where the feminine thread starters have used a select period of time and blocked people from the thread to slant opinion in their favour.
You're cherry picking again, just like you usually do.

Even if you're a GGG or Kovalev fan, you have to be embarrassed on the inside that you picked Ward.
LOL, Im not going to lie. When I clicked on Ward's name to see who would pick him I expected to see some of the names on there. Some guys can't let go of their bias no matter what.

I'm assuming we're talking over their career here.

Not trying to be picky here... but the question says "softest competition overall", which to me means you have to take into consideration his entire pro career. People always bring up his age, but the fact of the matter is Canelo was fed a ridiculously soft lineup of opponents, all in Mexico, while creating a bloated record (a la JCC Jr.) which gave the illusion of a superstar in the making. Only when he fought Trout was he finally fighting someone who didn't have a size, age, quality, or other complete disadvantage. I've never been a fan of putting 40-50 tomato cans on your record before they put you in with someone with a pulse.

I would assume I wouldn't have to explain that I meant their pro careers. I thought that would be obvious to functioning human beings.
