We will never know for sure if Rigondeaux and his team were ever actually negotiating a deal with PBC. Al Haymon won't talk, so we have no source for this information other than Caribe.

I would think that, if Rigondeaux is as desperate as he seems, he and his team would have accepted any deal that Haymon was offering to sign him. Beggars can't be choosers, so if Rigondeaux's team actually were negotiating a deal with Haymon and it fell apart, it was likely due to the demands of Caribe Promotions.

in that warning message they sent him they said he doesn't have any fights lined up so they figured he would be out the rest of the year.

Told people Arum ain't the problem hes been oit of the picture a long time now and his career is still F'd up. When Haymon who will literally sign any free agent out there wants nothing to do with you its time to look in the mirror and make some major changes.

I like rigo a lot, but can't feel bad for him, he made his choices.

Roach told him to become more offensive and he didn't want to listen.
Arum gave him mice paydays and tv time and he bashed Arum.

Phenomenal fighter, but stubborn to a fault.

What a shame, what went wrong with the Haymon deal?

He doesn't have a fight scheduled before Dec.31st of this year and they view that as inactive for a year.

I guess that fight that Caribe supposedly had scheduled for Rigondeaux for November fell through. Most likely, Caribe pleaded with Al Haymon to sign Rigondeaux and put him on one of the undercard fights PBC has scheduled for November. When Haymon refused to sign Rigondeaux (if they were ever truly negotiating a deal), Caribe had nothing to fall back on.
