I assume Haymon had ever intention of signing him. It seems like with most guys Haymon signs he wants the last chance to yay or nay a managerial move & from most descriptions of how Caribe operates that seems unlikely to have sit well with him.
Was he ever in talks in the first place? I know there was always rumors and speculation but nothing serious. I don't see how Caribe could have ruined things considering haymon does pay a ****load of money for his fighters to fight nothing but bums. So it has to be something on haymons side which leads me to believe he just downright doesn't want any of his top/popular fighters to lose to rigo

Yet its always Bob Arum fault because he was racist...im getting sick of this ****** paranoid conspiracy theory bias crap.

Caribe is an incompetent promotion and Rigo loyalty to them is baffling, now he will just be inactive even more, that the Haymon deal seems to have fell off.

I wish more sanctioning bodies stripped fighters for inactivity. WBC is crooked too they let Vitali hold the heavyweight title after being inactive for so long until he announced his retirement and gave the belt up.
You are so freaking biased, when didn't he performed at his best? agbeko? who was so gun shy it was embarrassing to watch, a former world champion that gave hell to mares, maybe cordova, yeah that is it, GR first 12 rounder in his six professional fight, Rigondeaux didn't have the luxury to fight in the wsb and learn more about the pro game, what other fight he didn't delivered? There other fighters out there a lot more boring that the Cuban.

Good, it's not as if anyone wants to watch professional Olympic boxing. Outside of a handful of boxing purist posers and ******ed boxing hipsters, no one cares if Rigo ever fights again.

Its mentioned in the article that talks with Haymon went south just days ago. So I just took that at face value. Rigo has said changes would be going down once that other guys contract ran out in September so this seems expected it was just a matter of what the change would be, Haymon (who's been the most rumored interested party), Roc Nation or someone else entirely.

And yea 100% I'm speculating on Caribe being at fault, who knows what happened exactly. But its not a loosey goosey speculation. There are "Caribe is a problem" vibes coming from all sorts of angles seems like. And I've yet to hear "Rigo is insane behind the scenes" rumors & at this point it seems like Rigo or Caribe gotta be the one who's the problem.

Haymon likes control we all know this. Caribe promotions didn't want give Haymon control (as it seems Rigo is all they have) and Haymon must see them as massive idiots ( which is likely true) so he passed rather then work with them and deal with the headache. It sucks for Rigo, Which begs the question... What kind of slave contract does Caribe promotions have Rigo under???

Damn, Rigo will be 40 before he gets another big fight if ever. I don't see how anyone can think his last 2 fights were boring; he knocked both guys out! He cannot get any luck to go his way. But Caribe is toxic waste to Rigo.
