Which was more dissapointing? Floyds 389k ppv buys or GGG's 97k buys.

Floyd made around $300 million in his previous fight. Does it even matter?

Honestly that's a huge testament to Mayweather's popularity (or infamy).
And not to mention that Floyd's PPV against Berto was much more expensive.

They aren't even comparable. Floyd Vs Berto was a flop only by floyd's standards. Golovkin's ppv is a flop no matter how u look at it. One was also marketed at nearly about $30 more.

Was it really? Wow, I guess those guys arguing about Floyd taking bigger chunk wouldn't want to hear about that. That's an extra $9million for May/Berto, just based on a $30 PPV difference.

What if the Floyd Manny farce turned everyone off to the idea of PPV?

Both were disappointing, it hard too say which was worse. GGG is almost unknown in the US. He could walk down the street and most people wouldn't even know who he was.
Floyd on the other hand, is known by most people, the fact he is a chicken and avoided fighting either Thurman, Porter or Khan to fight Berto says a lot. Those would have done around 1M buys.
I vote a draw, both were turds in the punch bowl. I like GGG, but his opponent was KO'd by Marco Antonio Rubio, that says enough.

I paid $60 for both in HD so I don't know where the extra $30 is coming from

GGG, didn't think he'd do more than Floyd/Berto but expected him to do 250-300k. Defiantly dissapointing considering he's being promoted by HBO as the next big thing!

How? Floyd Vs Berto cost about $85 HD. I dunno what cable provider u have but I also bought both. $60 HD and $85 HD were the prices. In fact I don't know the last time a floyd ppv costed $60.

I don't think either are necessarily failed PPVs, but if I had to pick which one was more disappointing, I would pick GGG. GGG is a new dude. He's a European guy who doesn't have the "hometown" fan base benefit that the American boxers have. It's his first PPV. Almost no marketing at all. All that considered, 97K is pretty bad. GGG is supposed to be the next big thing. I didn't hear any buzz about it in the streets either. Compared to a pointless Floyd fight that was a complete and utter cherry pick. The only marketing gimmick was that it's your last chance to see Floyd. It still did 389K. Everyone hated this fight, but it still did decent numbers. Almost 400K. And it was a pointless fight coming off of the Floyd vs Pac media sensation. Compare them both, GGG's was worse.

this thread backfired big time.....the TS is a pacf@g that thought he was clever creating another pathetic one of his '**** on floyd' threads(he even had some of his pacf@gg0t brethren try to back him up) and it still didn't work.......when you lose a poll to floyd on nsb(a pro pacf@gg0t forum) then you know you did something bad. #golflopkin #cancrushingonppv
