Which was more dissapointing? Floyds 389k ppv buys or GGG's 97k buys.

You're in here with idiots claiming GGG's debut was more succesful than Floyd's last bout while ignoring that Floyd had a deal with Showtime that already exceeded their monetary expectations. While also ignoring the fact that GGG's debut failed to crack 100K PPV Buys. While also ignoring that K2 stated they need 200K to be succesful. Goodnight dummy.Comment

i think its accurateSince it seems that many of the GGG critics wants to all of a sudden take Rick Glaser's word as gospel on the PPV buy count, I'll use him as a reference.
According to Rick Glaser, Floyd/Berto did 389k buys and GGG/Lemeiux did 97k buys.
So was Floyd's farewell bout ppv buys more disapointing or was GGG's first ppv fight more disappointing.

I'm not saying they lose money in mayweather's deal but i said they lose money in berto's fight. showtime still rich from profit of manny's fight but they depleted some of that profit investing it in berto's fight. you completely ignore my points in my my post.Comment

No idea, I'm not the one that made the thread and I've never read any news about the Floyd vs Berto PPV numbers since I don't care one way or another. The 97k comes from some random dude on twitter, who isn't a journalist and is some shady character that for some ******ed reason people on nsb take as gospel (only when it fits their agenda of course). Not one credible source has reported 97k.
As for the thread question, it all depends on what the expectations were and if they lost money or not, that's it. We have K2 long before the PPV saying they were aiming for 100k to 150k. They had a small purse to pay so you figure they are around breaking even. The Floyd PPV you figure they lost money on based on the high guarantee purse, but again it's not like they care since they made sooooo much money against Pacquiao, which was further shown by selecting berto as an opponent in the first place.Last edited by ИATAS; 10-28-2015, 09:18 PM.Comment

Since we're on the subject, who's PPV reports seem to be the most accurate and consistent? I thought I read somewhere that Berto/Floyd did 500k, which still isn't shocking because that fight ******.Comment

No it's not. That only matters for HBO or SHO. Does your pea brain understand that? Profit only matters for the kingpins! After that it's just about how many people cared. By the numbers 400K cared more about Mayweather-Bum vs. a highly publicized MW unification.
