Of all the 4 alphabet sanctioning bodies...which is best?

IBF is most consistent and they actually follow their own rules. They make hard, unpopular decisions like stripping a champion for fighting a more lucrative fight over a mandatory.

WBC might seem like the most prestige title as they've been featured in the most high profile fights in the last 20 years or so. That's mainly because they show a lot of favoritism towards superstar fighters and cash cows. For example, Mayweather went years without fighting a mandatory, mainly because Sulaiman wanted him and Pacquiao to fight for that belt. I understand why, business is business, but the treatment of Sergio Martinez in favor of Chavez Jr a few years ago was about as disgusting as you can get.

WBA is garbage and shouldn't even be recognized as a world title anymore.

WBO sucks. Just not as bad as the WBA.

IBF I would say. They actually follow their own rules, enforce mandatories etc. there's a point in going in the IBF rankings if you want to get a title shot.

WBO are ok too, but have some weird rules sometimes against the other orgs.

WBA/WBC whilst historically the "best" belts to have, are complete Cowboys when it comes to their own rules.

I honestly have no clue which is which. I spend hours studying technique, looking up fights I've never seen, etc, but have never found the sanctioning bodies to be the least bit interesting. Maybe if the belts meant something and the best actually faced the best I'd follow them but when everyone has held some form of belt, I can't be bothered to care which org is which.

I dunno why people are saying the IBF, they wouldn't strip Peterson after his drugs transgression and they didn't even put the title on the line in his last 2 fights if I'm not mistaken (v Matthysse and Garcia).

In all honesty, they are all as bad as each other, they all lie, cheat and steal and none of them are that important. Most people involved in boxing can name the top 3 guys or so in a division and we decide when a fight really matters.
