Except they can. Fight night Lemule was 175, he didn't rehydrate until later that morning.

just list them in order from oldest to newest:

        WBA
        WBC
        IBF (branched off of WBA)
        WBO (branched off of WBA)
        (IBO)

imo champions that matter: Lineal champions and/or unified/undisputed champions. Just the way I see it honestly.

None mattered before, but now that GGG Is trying to unify they are all very important.

Clearly the WBA is the worst with all of its regular and super trinkets. I'm sure they make good on sanctioning fees but when everyone has a belt, what's the point?

It's a real shame. One belt used to shine. Now everyone wants five guys parading around a belt in their entourage. I'm sure to the fan who doesn't know any better, it seems impressive. However once they learn how they really have all those belts, it must be disappointing.

It's not like having five Superbowl championship rings. It's more like if there were regular, world and super Superbowl rings, which means that none of the rings are that valuable.

In Raging Bull when LaMotta tried to pawn his belt, the pawn broker told him that a championship belt would have been worth a lot since it was a rare item. I wonder what they'd say now. Probably "Oh yeah. We see those things all the time. I'll give you fifty."

I see the IBF has the top spot and I can go with that. Corruption happens over time and the two oldest-WBA and WBC- seem to be the most corrupt to me. Golovkin has been the WBA's something champion since 2010, but we still have Daniel Jacobs claiming to be the champion as well. That's as ridiculous as you can get. The WBC with their silver titles is pretty lame as well.

Of course, there's obviously lots of money in this sport since all of these continue to survive year after year. If I could pick a survivor, I'd like to see it be the IBF with the others falling by the wayside.

That was the WBA this year. WBO had the same thing happen in like 1999.

At the moment the best is WBC. Since Mauricio Suleiman took a leadership in WBC, it seems that this organization is doing all the right moves.
