Boxing is a sport but the pro game is primarily a business. Most paying fans want to see violent confrontation in the ring, they want thrills for their money. Lara isn't going to give them that. I like what he brings, though. He's an artist and there's definitely a place for artistry in my book, and I reckon Lara would become more widely appreciated if he looked to put together sustained bursts here and there when he's made the right openings and not just land one or two shots every time then sit back and admire his classy but restrained output. Not too big an adjustment, and one he's easily capable of. As things are, Lara might out-box anybody out there but will find it tough getting a decision against any elite level guy, if he ever gets another opportunity after the way he made Canelo look pretty harmless.

It's all about your choice of style. That was a boxing lesson. Lara was popping Canelo's head on the regular! Canelo had no answer!

If Lara was so hesitant to engage Canelo what makes you think he will suddenly have the courage to engage GGG.

I can see Lara being content to cruising to a wide UD loss.
Cutting off the ring against the Willie Monroe's of the world is very different to cutting off the ring against a Lara or Mayweather.

Although I rank GGG above Canelo as a fighter, Canelo has much faster hands than GGG. Lara's hand and foot speed alone will make things difficult for GGG.

Lara will never get it..which is why he will never sell a ticket in his entire career. I watched his fight against delvin rodriguez and it was so disappointing. He had many chances to end the fight but he couldn't pull the trigger. Any elite tv fighter knocks out rodriguez in style.

He doesn't have to change his style I would just like to see some hooks, and uppercut maybe some body shots.

His style is so repetitive, effective because he is good at those moves but if mixed in something like a hook he might actually surprise a guy and really put a hurting on the other guy.

You do have a point, Lara is >>> WMJ. However Canelo's handspeed made no difference since he couldn't get in range since he couldnt cut the ring off. Angulo was able to cut the ring off and find success, which I think GGG will do, and Angulo didn't need hand speed to land.

Lara's 1-2 is very effective but extremely boring, if he could add some 3-4-5 punches combo or throw a few hooks, uppercuts and work the midsection of the opponents, he'd be a better boxer, would get more ko's and attract more fans, as the no changing his style, see how that worked for rigo.
