Originally posted by HeroBando View PostWell yeah he has a lot working against him, and some for: he's more likeable than Chavez, makes weight easy, and is much better in the ring. You're missing the point: to become PPV you need to knock off a PPV star in style. All have been put on notice: Chavez, Froch, now Canelo, Cotto and there's a clear mandate
And 2) those marketed as such , which is sniffed out most of the times by a prudent boxing fan base i.e. Lemeiux vs GGG

I've already given u examples of this earlier . Yes , some generally have higher ppv #'s than others like Floyd Manny and Floyd , but even they can't fight obvious cans on ppv without their numbers suffering.

Golovkin actually tried to fight Ward a couple years back, Ward tossed out the Bute excuse about Golovkin needs to prove himself, build his fanbase type of talk. We've seen nothing from Ward over the past couple years to indicate he's serious about anything. Paul Smith, Rohan and no whatever else guy he's trying to fight at 175. Doesn't seem he's ready for anything major for a while.

Second, yeah of course Ggg is the best at MW but the ratings say otherwise. There's a "I'm not a MW" above him. Let's get that straightened out. The fraud lineal champ needs to turn over that belt to its rightful owner, vacate or get beat down.
..... but I will never understand why you repeat them.
