The problem is GGG's hypocrisy and inconsistency, coupled with the arrogance. That is why he seems to land on the wrong side nowadays.

Before he and his team began running their mouths and offering fights at 164, he wasn't on the wrong side because he kept his mouth shut.
Golovkin flirted with the idea of a Chavez/Froch fight out of desperation since he quite literally couldn't get a fight worth a damn in his own division, neither fight would have been a title fight and neither happened obviously and Golovkin eventually got a title unification fight in Lemieux, which is what he's been trying to do for years. He's now in even a better position to get what he wants at middleweight being that he's mandatory. The whole point of looking at Chavez/Froch was because he was stuck fighting the Willie Monroe's of the world while the title holders wouldn't give him the time of day. Not sure why that is hard to understand. Meanwhile,,Ward hasn't even been interested in a Golovkin fight, his whole deal was that he said they want to fight sometime next year, maybe, after he's done with his tuneups.

GGG is a PPV bust and a Can Krusher who is gonna stay planted at 160 until he knows for sure that Ward can no longer make 168 . He needs to find a way for Canelo, Cotto or both to fight him so he can continue to pretend to have unfinished business at 160 .

If the winner of Cotto/Canelo simply vacate the 160 strap , GGG would be in trouble . All of GGG's phony goals are predicated around AVOIDING Ward , because if that weren't true , he would of never said he wanted Froch at 168 earlier this year . If your prime goal was to unify at 160 , then why r u so willing to divert your goals for Froch ? And don't tell me it's always about money because if that were the case , you would have fought Lara instead of a unknown named Willie Monroe

I know Natas. Now he is still fighting guys on that level. Ward has no opponent as of now. Besides, HBO is protecting GGG and steering ward toward Kov.

Win win for all the GGG fans afraid he can't beat Ward and love watching him KO 15-1 -20-1underdogs every 3 months.

The point remains before GGG and his team started running their mouths they weren't on the wrong side of everything.

You guys have to stop complaining that posters point out GGG's shortcomings.

Natas just explained this above, moron. And no, Lara is not more money than Monroe. Both bring zero fan interest, but Lara wants 10x the purse.. Can you work that out?

Its not hard to understand. For anyone with at least 3 functioning brain cells. But the GGG hate trolls prefer to just reply to every GGG post with "but but but abel said doe but but but......"

HBO can't force Ward to 175 pounds, but you're shifting the topic entirely. We already know the quality of guys Ward is trying to fight right now (this isn't HBO's doings).

Golovkin has consistently tried to fight the best in his division, which is literally the opposite of being protected. Sergio Martinez, Dmitry Priog, Peter Quillin, you know the names. Let's not pretend Golovkin wasn't trying to get all of these guys. It's very convenient for the GGG critics to leave all of that out.

Running their mouths about what? You have a trainer in Abel, who isn't much different than Roach or Mayweather Sr/Roger who talk big about their best fighter in their stable. At the same time, K2/Abel/GGG have consistently said for over a year they are focused on unifying 160. They couldn't be more clear about it since they say it nearly every single interview and yet, people like you just ignore those countless interviews & statements and pretend they haven't been saying it over & over again. "But dude, Golovkin tried to fight Chavez at 168 2-years ago OMG OMG PWND! LULZ"

He tried to get fights. He was told no. I have never left that out. SO he has a choice to make. You can't keep choosing the easier path and expect credit for that. that's like you or me wanting credit for trying to sex Beyoncé knowing that will not happen.

It is HBO. they approved Murdock-NSAC blocked it. They were willing to give Ward a cakewalk and a prime spot on the 2nd biggest PPV of the year to keep him away from GGG and steer him toward Kov.

No one is ignoring it Natas, it just rings hollow given the froch/chavez moves and the "dream fight is Floyd 154."

when will you and others be honest that "unifying 160" is used to deflect away from the fact he is willing to move up for the money but not for the challenge of a ward fight?

"the goal is Unifying at 160" is the equivalent of " the goal is cleaning up the sport. "

you left off this part. it 's the most important. why do you guys get so upset that his shortcomings are discussed?

Im getting a chuckle out of all this A-side / B-side nonsense, like Canelo is some giant star that launches careers, he got the biggest fight of his life coming up aside from the Mayweather fight but all anybody can talk about is GGG.
