The thing is, Margarito is too much risk for reward. If he beats this guy, then he beat a bum, but if he loses then is a bum. It's really a lose-lose situation. Let's see Margarito beat Hatton, Cotto or someone decent (not the Cintrons and Kyvelos of this world!!) and then we will start talking.

And say what you want about Mayweather but he hasn't fought the best in 140 and 147, which can be attributed to every party, not just Hatton and Cotto. P4P rankins should be abolished because guys like Floyd and Roy Jones will continue to abuse that status.

But i though mayweather would easily dispose of margarito...now he is too much of a risk for reward...so the excuse is he's too much of a threat,,then it'll be margarito is too big...then it will be margarito should be with the middleweights then it'll be and be and be...the excuses are lining up....you know what margarito says "i will knock out mayweather"...he doesn't follow his comments with "if he beats me it's because he is the best pound for pound or any other excuse..he stands by his comments...

I completly disagree and that is what my thread is about. How can you say he hasnt fought the best when he has a great resume and the guys he didnt fight is because they didnt want to fight him?

You cant compare him to Oscar when Oscar has always been a cash cow and famous. If Floyd had Oscar's status then guys like Hatton wouldve wanted to fight him just for the money and fame.

I want one of you to tell me who did Floyd not fight that he couldve? Name one guy

Floyd gets himself into trouble because he's too stubborn when it comes to money issues. That's why it's been next to impossible to get him to commit to Hatton or Margarito. I don't think he's actually afraid of anyone...people who say that are just dreaming.

The boxing press is notoriously hypocritical when it comes to Floyd compared to other fighters. How come they were praising Hatton when he wanted to fight Baldomir? Everyone was saying it was a good move. Yet when Floyd moved up to welter the same people said it was a bad idea because he had unfinished business at junior welter.

you made several good points but, did you know that floyd wanted to take on baldomir for the belt but he said that this guy wanted to much money just because he won against zab but , if baldy was able to beat zab for whatever reason he should deserve a substancial amount of money even if mayfairy knew he could beat this guy with both hands tied behind his back but ,he went after zab knowing he didn,t deserve it... and this is it because i know you guy,s are going to defend him , just think margarito was the titleholder at welterweight division and you have zab who can unify the belts or lets say mosley, or oscar could have came down to take this mans belt since he,s so slow and you can see every punch coming at you but, no takers i wonder why is that ... i think out of all of the fighters that i named even mayfairy and hatton didn,t want nothing to do with this man ... think about it...

I don't even get why people say floyd is ducking margrito when he's had one fight in 147 and that fight makes him more money.

You would be a ****in moron it fight margrito before judah when you can makes millions more. I bet fylod will fight mosley before margrito because that is where the $$ is and the most sense.

Hatton already said he turned down a fight with mayweather stating he need more time to train in US and get acclimated and build a fanbase. It came from Hatton's own mouth.

Plus, Don King owns Cotto and would never seen him out to slaughter against Mayweather. The longer cotto fights the more money for King

Floyd is right on Baldomire. You have to understand that Floyd is not Oscar, Catti, or MAB. Hes only going to make a certain amout of money and hes not going to share that littile bit with a nobody like Baldomire just because he had that win over Zab which everyone knows is a fluke and more on Zab then on Baldomire.

Again, I think the Mosley one maybe true but not the rest. Oscar has fought as many big names as anyone and hes fighting a tough SOB in Mayorga. You think hes scared to fight Margarito? He just dont want to mess with Arum unless its for a huge fight like a Mayweather fight. Also Oscar wont come down to 147 and even in his later years I still think Oscar would beat Margarito at 154 considering how the guy looked against Santos. I also think that King does not do business with Arum unless its a big fight like Mayweather.

Im not saying Margarito isnt dangerous. Its still a business and Im sure King would rather hold off for Zab against Margarito so he could wait for a bigger fight with Mayweather that he could make more money on. If he's going to do business with a guy he hates like Arum for your fighters title and for big money then who would you pick to fight: Margarito or Floyd? Its just business. If Margarito brought the most money then they wouldve went after him.

I bet anything that Arum would take a Margarito fight now with Zab and I say that Zab knocks him out

PBF is not afraid of Margarito. If Floyd wasn't afraid of Castillo or Corrales I can't possibly see why he would be afraid of Marg.Marg is too much risk for not enough money.Saying that I think that Floyd will fight him and if Santos can beat Marg I don't see any reason that the best p4p fighter in the world can't.

plus DLh's trainer is floyd mayweather Sr. and both fighters already talked about it and agreed DLH will never fight Mayweather even if there was alot of money on the line.

I mean it must suck beating little Jr. up when dad's in your corner

Floyd hasnt done anything at 140-147 sorry thats just the truth. All these fighters didnt wanna fight him but i know one person who did, Margarito.

Floyd is basically being pressured into fighting Margarito and u know it.

The truth is he hasnt done anything since he beat Castillo, he wants to get in on the 1990s all star retirement tour with DLH but he doesnt and hasnt fought the fighters of today since then.
